good pickup by the pies, needed a ruck asap and got it

brisbane picked him up at 18 and got 14 back, on the other hand we cant get a bidder for meyer :-[
 
Pies have got a good player for the future. Wood can play. RFC should have been working on Wood rather than Hooper, McMahon etc. Another one missed IMO.

Once the Pies put pick 14 on the table early in the week I think we were pretty much killed.

How do you know we weren't? We couldn't match Scumwood with picks or in attractiveness as a destination for Wood. You know if we havedn't been able to get Wood or Moran because we're a rabble then it just reinforces the need to build a team through draft picks not draft *smile* like McMahon.
