PUNT ROAD END | Richmond Tigers Forum

Just wondering if anyone can tell me the years and the coaches involved when we've "won" the wooden spoon please. :vomit

I'd also be interested in people's thoughts about the spoon. Not sure if it's a generational thing but it seems a lot don't think it's the pits to get it any more.

Personally I think it's a disgrace to officially be the worst performed team in the competition. Stan Alves said yesterday no team wants to get the spoon because it's in the history books forever but I seriously wonder if the powers to be at football clubs feel that way these days.

To me it seems yet another tradition has gone from the AFL, there won't be many left soon, and coming last has lost it's stigma. I know the AFL have made it a spoon full of sugar but would appreciate it if people could discuss the actual spoon here and keep the talk of tanking and the upcoming drafts benefits to the other thread.
