I must preface this post by saying I have not had a chance to get to a game this year, so I am only going by what I have seen on the telecasts.

Do our midfielders work hard enough for each other at the stoppages? If you watch West Coast, for example, the man marking Judd or Kerr often has to fight through a pair of blocks to stay with him at the stoppages, but the RFC boys don't look to be doing this very often. We obviously have set plays for stoppages (thanks Channel 7 for sharing one of our centre bounce plays with the whole world last week), but I have not seen many that involve laying hard blocks in order to free up a designated player.

I know some on here will say they simply do not work hard enough, full stop; but I am getting a skewed view of things in tv? Are they actually working and simply being beaten out of the stoppages by better teams? Or are they left to their own devices at the stoppage to win the ball by lone effort?
