Can anyone tell me when his contract is up for negotiation., because I am worried about losing Lids to Carlton. I think its about time we offered him the captaincy and a great contract. He has shown in recent weeks he is going to be a hell of a player in the future and I want that future to be with the RFC.

Gee CFC will have a great midfield in 2010 of Judd, Murphy, Gibbs, Lids and Kerr!

Come on Acker why do you think he would go to Carlton?

He is contracted to the end of 2009.

There's no way they'd be able to pay him enough to lure him. He'll end up being either 1 or 2 in terms of pay at Richmond and he'd be behind Judd and Fev at Carlton at a minimum and probably also behind Murphy and Gibbs - at least from a salary negotiation perspective.

Does Lids care about the environment, because he may leave if he is so passionate for that cause to because one of Pratt's environmental ambassadors :hihi

Sorry Backbone you didn't get my sarcasm ;D

That's what I was implying with the CFC midfield line up.

Are you sure of that?

I thought he was contracted to the end of 08, I don't think he would have been given a four year contract after he was drafted.

He was drafted in 2004 and signed a 2 year contract when he was drafted. Halfway through 2006 he signed a 3 year contract extension making it 2009 when he comes out of contract.
I think thats how it was anyway.

Deledio won't be going anywhere. We'll pay him whatever it takes to keep him at the Tiges. The sort of pay we wouldn't have been able to pay if we had recruited the likes of Judd. I still think Carlton are going to run into large problems in 2 or so years time keeping players especially if they now have to pay up to keep the Fev.

yes carlton will run into a bit of trouble over judd`s contract, that`s one reason i was glad we didn`t get him.
the cheating, lying, thieving scum wil be the last club that could afford him.
unless of course they cheat the system somehow to pay him which would be more than possible.

it`s hard to find much info on how long lids is contracted for but i`m pretty sure it`s 2009.

"Sometimes it takes a young gun, somebody who's really trying to aspire and achieve, to wake up and show a few of the others around the place, and I think Brett's had the ability to do that," Wallace said of Deledio, who yesterday signed a contract extension tying him to Richmond until the end of 2009.

I know a mate who knows Deledio and I can say for sure that Deledio is happy at Richmond and passionate for the club
