32 Richo
29 Bowden Johnno Simmo
26 Tuck
25 Pettifer Hyde Newman
23 Polak, King Moore
22 Schulz, Foley
21 Jacko Raines Tambling Meyer
20 Deledio McGuane Hughes White
19 Oakleys

APPROXIMATE AGES

Now Wallace has been saying the core of a team is the 22 - 26 age group

26 Tuck
25 Pettifer Hyde Newman
23 Polak, King Moore
22 Schulz, Foley

So I say we put up with it: trade and cut the older guys and keep drafting.

Some of you guys amaze me - Terry does what the blood lusters are after and sacrifices a few lambs and you all agree what a great move it is - and say things such as " OOOHHHH I'm so Excited!!!!"

And then after being lauded for finally making the right decisions (the ones all these so-called PRE luminaries have decided are right) ...when it all turns to cr@p ---he is a dud. Give me a break!

The team had a look of the Fitzroys when it was named and so it proved.

What about that stellar defence. Mguane and Moore were shown up for what they are - kids with a long way to go and if GAS had made half of the comedy caper errors these two made he would have been lynched before he exited the change rooms. Moore has played in 2 winning teams in about 25 games and Mcguane has never cracked it for a win and these two were going to be our defensive KPPs. We should have seen teh headlights coming teh other way when we suffered average 100 point losses against West Coast St Kilda and Swans without GAS in the side

Youth policy - White and Jackson - the Krusty and Sideshow Mel of AFL , sorry VFL football.

We identified our scapegoats and guess what - we got the wrong ones. We get beaten in the middle, week in week out and we keep playing tweedle dee and tweedle dum, a couple of hard nuts admittedly - one whose body has let him down and can no longer run which added to the fact that he never had a skill set makes him a rather unlikely first rotation midfileder, but apparently qualifies him as an excellent captain. The other cannot be faulted for endeavour but unfortunately has the football composure of an inebrited gnat on ritalin.

Kudos to Foley, Polak and Richo for fighting it out ..and Bowden apart from his usual Bowden moments tried to lead from the front.

Since we have dipped our toe into the youth policy quagmire we might as well go all the way - Out Tuck, Johno and throw darts at a board and delete any 4 others and bring in Jack, Polo, Connors, Thursty, Casserly and Edwards.

We can then watch Coburg win the flag and then wait till 2009 when we have all our great recruits fron the superdraft of 2008 for Richmond win a game.

BTW Do we still have Gas' number? :help

:rofl :rofl :rofl Yeah that would have helped. With his softcock lily livered efforts we woulda got rolled by 200+!!

Have never rated Moore and McGuane but they offer more right now than Subpar does, which admittedly is very little. But it's the same old same old serial offender senior players who *smile* up every time and let the club down. Richo's pathetic kicking at goal; Bowden's Benny Hill / Johnny Manton routine at full back; Chris Hyde's lamentable skill level; Chris Newman never going near his opponent; Kane Johnson continuing to make Richie Vandenburg look like Winston Churchill; Kayne Pettifer pulling out of contests; etc etc etc.

The senior players at RFC are an aggressively spreading cancer that must be immediately removed!!

No.

In recent history frm the 90's onwards consider the team that lost 2 weeks in a row by over 100 points (last 2 rounds of the year) at optus oval to kick us out of the finals !

Now that hurt. We had a good percentage just need 1 win or minimal losses for 2 weeks to make the finals & we failed ! (I think 93 or 94)

I don't understand what you are saying....we won 12 games that year (1994) and the following year we fininshed 4th with a similar group of players !

Put simply in the history of the Club we have NEVER lost the first 7 games, next week could change that and stamp the group as possibly the worst of all time....

Probably the worst performance but not the worst team. I'm sure we are still going to be competitive for the rest of the year.

agree 2004 was the worst team, full of other club rejects.

Yes sadly this team will also compete for the worst team of all time even their drafted juniors are ordinary. The poor ferals have been putting up with this rubbish for 25 years. I say its time Wallace and his coaching staff join the ferals this September Holiday's in a caravan park and see what their lives are like. Would love to see him with his supporters in the community shower block.

Here hear Laff.
Unfortunately this is the loss the club needed to have to finally shake the stupor from deluded
ferals and coaching staff alike!!!
Ive been saying for years our senior players are career losers!!
So Richo should be Gaspared, Johnston Capuanoed and Bowden Chubberred!!!
Clear out these deadwoods immediately!!!

You cant handle the truth...even when it hits you front and sqaure on the forehead like it did tonight. Our mids were awful but our defence was lamentable and a rabble and yes GAS would have made a world of difference to the respective performances of Moore and Mcguane and Polak.

Another homily for you..."Be careful what you wish for,............. you might get Moore and Jackson promoted."

without richo trying his guts out in the ruck tonight, it would have been the worst losing margin ever, i have no doubts on that!! Richo is one of a handful of players who genuinly love playing for the RFC, the rest just do it coz it's a Job which makes them a bit of money and pulls the chicks!!!!

Only once have I ever replied to a here here with a here here and that here here was a here here in response to your here here. I will take the unusual step of while not only responding to your here here with a here here but a further here here to my post. Sadly another season comes around and again I am spot on the money its time some of these players were forced to watch the ferals in the shower blocks struggling through another pitiful and sad September. I laughed the other day when Terry Geishan thanked the ferals for their support. I don't see any support tonight unless of course a woolmering was being discussed.

Good onya Lambsy - can't support you on your Gaspar crusade, but clearly on nights like tonight, his presence would have had a good effect - and effect beyond his poor disposal. As I understand it, Gaspar may well have played and may have got a final farewell game come season's end. Obviously he didn;t see that in full balance at the time.

McGuane had been playing as well or better than Gas on the games I had seen. Still don't know why Moore is being persisted with - cede to TW that he sees more than me.

Can't see how we can go much younger at this stage and have the benefits outweigh negatives though
