Would we take Didak

what did he do wrong. as far as i can see he got pissed and was a passenger in a car that was driven by a drunk driver. i know lets hang him from the nearest tree we can find.

he then told a lie about being in the car because of the way it would look. i know lets draw and quarter him while wer'e at it.
evos right nancies everywhere.

If you were the person that he lied to who made you look like a complete fool you might think a little differently of him.

like evo said nancies everywhere.

Clawsy, I think it's the matter of all the other stuff with him. this is one of many things he has done wrong. They wouldnt have a-holed him like this if it had been the only issue. He has really left them nowhere to go.

I been thinking about this whilst driving around the Wimmera. Didak is a brilliant footballer and has freakish skills. He can find space and he gets to the foot of the packs where crumbers should be. He has pace, can kick a goal , and works hard. I am sure that if he has some pride in his performance as a footballer then he has something to prove. Yes I would have him in the side. He is still young enough to be around for quite a few years yet, he can help the young kids...and really....is having a few, well one or two more than a few, a week out from a game a seriously bad thing?

Yes I would but I wouldnt give the earth for him.

lol. You are full of it claw. What did he do wrong?

- Lied to his skipper.
- Lied his team mates.
- Lied to the Coach.
- lied to the CEO.
- Embarrassed the club
- p!ssed off the sponsors
- Angered & embarrassed just about everyone associated with Scumwood
- Jeapardised the younger Shaw's career
- Jeopardised his team's finals chances

This all despite previous history and warnings..

Imagine if he played for Richmond?
You would no doubt want him hung drawn and quartered beyond recognition.

Call me a nancie if you like :-* but at least I am not a hypocrite.

geez 7 the captain just got busted drunk as a skunk and piddling on the plods front doorstep. Yowie Shulz cost us a big sponsor a few years ago and you can't think of anyone. All clubs have a couple of likely lads on their list just waiting to get sprung stuffing up, it goes with the territory. We've got our own lovable rogues and they're all ours, we don't need someone elses discarded trouble.
I said I dont want him.

Trade rumours from 2003 :hihi

- - - - - -

Nick Stevens to Collingwood, Port want Didak and one other player (quick half-back preferably)

Nathan Bassett to Western Bulldogs to join his brother, Nathan Brown to Richmond and Matt Richardson to Adelaide in a three-way swap with draft picks

Misiti to Carlton in a deal involving Matt Allan going to Essendon

Croad back to a Victorian club for a second round draft pick

Jon Hay to Adelaide for first or second round draft pick and a player

Would depend on what price Collingwood was to ask for. That is assuming they want to trade him. All he is guilty of in this instance is telling the club a lie and I don't think he would do that again in a hurry especially if they get rid of him.

You know, when you put it like that, I realy, really respect him for the damage he has done to Scumwood ! KARMA Eddie KARMA (remember what you said about Shultz on the footy show.)

:clap

I haven't discounted picking him up despite my tirade at clawsy. ;)
I'd certainly take him over a drug addict that's for sure.
My point is more that I can see exactly why the Pies have thrown the book at him in this instance.

If they do punt him he'd be extremely foolish to get mixed up in something again but he has shown he's a fool on more than one occasion now.. it will not be without some risk.

What do you reckon the Scum would want for him in return brigadier?

drug addict, alcoholic ( a chronic binge drinker is an alcoholic) what's the difference.
He'd only been off his curfew for 16 days!!!

Honestly I think it will depend on how much he has pissed off Eddie. They may be willing to take a second round pick and I am not sure about the draft so don't know if that is to high a price considering we are looking at a mid second round pick. Third and Meyer I would be happy with ;D

Reality is Collingwood will ask way to much for him and probably manage to bully Melbourne into paying it.

Hmmm...fair point when you look at it like that.

I think Didak's situation pretty well mimics Fevola's. Good player but do you carry the baggage? That's becoming increasingly difficult these days.
The demon drink ain't a great mix for Al. He'd do well to keep off it during the season.

Depends how badly they want to get rid of him I guess.

Have I got it all wrong? I thought there was a rule in place stating that when a player has signed a new contract that it was "illegal" for them to be traded to another club in the first year of that contract. Could have sworn there was a rule in place stipulating this.
