Would we take Didak

Have I got it all wrong? I thought there was a rule in place stating that when a player has signed a new contract that it was "illegal" for them to be traded to another club in the first year of that contract. Could have sworn there was a rule in place stipulating this.

I thought this applied to youngsters in the draft. Two years minimum and cant be traded after first year.

No you got it right. Essendon a few years ago signed someone(maybe Heffernan not sure) then traded him. The AFLPA brought it in that they have to play 12 months at the club once they sign. I am sure that is the case.

The much publicised Heffernan Rule was never enacted, Mops.

No restrictions on any player on your playing list except: you cannot on-trade a player - that is trade him before a year of contract. And a freshly drafted player must do one year on the list.

Whats the bet we chase not Didak, but the other player mentioned to be gone via suspension from the Pies.

Rhys Shaw.

Anyone have a long enough memory to cast their mind back when Wallace first started at the club and said he rated him?

I do, and I am scared..... :help

We should give our undivided attention to drafting and developing our own champions.

Sometimes however the possibility of an unwanted player gives rise to the idea that he may come cheap.

This was the case with Cousins last year when it looked for a time like he may be elligible for the PSD and we had first pick.

His likely nomination in the National draft this year changes that and whether he is now worth a third or fourth rounder will be a tricky call.

Didak on the other hand is still owned by the Pies and Didak (though possibly not Eddie) wants to remain so. He will be offered for high picks...

No interest at all.

what did he do wrong. as far as i can see he got p!ssed and was a passenger in a car that was driven by a drunk driver. i know lets hang him from the nearest tree we can find.

he then told a lie about being in the car because of the way it would look. i know lets draw and quarter him while wer'e at it.
evos right nancies everywhere.
Good to see where your priority,s are Claw.Support a person who,s Judgement is to let a Drunk drive home that could have ended much worse than it did.

I reckon the big question is:

Will the scum only trade him if they get a great offer (i.e. a first rounder), or will they trade him regardless of what they get in return?
That will show how seriously they rate his "betrayal".....and how highly they really rate honesty and integrity at scumwood.

FWIW I reckon they will keep him if they don't get a great offer, hence all this talk of cutting the repeat offender loose is smoke and mirrors.

I agree but this time they will say it is 'really, really, really' his last chance.

I wonder how much he actually wants to play for Collingwood now? Wouldn't surprise me to hear him say he wants a trade back to SA or elsewhere.

I'd prefer Kerr :)

Imagine Didak at the Cats. He would make Gablet and Bartel look just "good". Freakishly talented player. Wish we had him.
Would assume this is tongue in cheek. Not in Ablett or Bartel's league IMO.

Kinda hard to know. Didak will never have the class around him that Gabs and Bartel have. Seen Didak as a junoir and he is pure talent. Has also come back from a knee injury and is still doing freaky things.

Agree with the freaky, but lacks Ablett and Bartel's consistency IMO.

Agree, he's a bit like Browny. All class around goal but hasn't got the motor of the cats boys.
