Prefer to have a beer at the game, but wouldn't stop going if the beer stopped flowing.

From what I hear many events o/s ban grog (like the EPL) so if it did happen its nothing unusual

Perhaps if people keep to social drinking rather than getting tanked and starting fights, it won't become an issue.

I don't think you should panic about this ever happening. Too many powerful and vested interests profit from the arrangement to sell the punters plastiic pots of mid-strength for $5+.

I like to have a beer or 2 at the footy, but it's not the be-all and end-all, and I would still go if I couldn't have a beer there.

Ditto.

I don't drink watching the Tigers, I get emotional enough already watching them. But maybe I should, it would help with the pain.

Test cricket on the other hand benefits greatly from alcohol. Whoever banned full strength beer from the public section of the G during Tests simply doesn't like humanity.

Just wondering if AFL were to do this whether it would effect gate takings.

Would never happen as it is a huge chuck of capital removed from everyone's pockets but is an idea I have overheard a few times from the family spectators I have sat near.

I don't know what I think of the possibility maybe someone can tell me what I think.

Cheers

i dont think it would effect gate takings that much. but it would effect the margins the AFL get on the grog sales - ie: they wouldnt get any! So it wont happen.

Most people used to go to the Social club before the game & drink as much real Grog as they can so you don't have to get ripped off for a poxy plastic cup at the G.
As the social club is not really open anymore then we just go to the Royal & Load up :hihi cheaper too & get to watch the STRIPPERS.
As for Telstra Dome we go in the Locker room bar.... :clap
