TW- WTF was all that for.

why did we play so defensively from the start - sapped a hell of a lot of energy from us in the first half and we were tired as could be with 10 minutes to go till half time.

I'm just dumbfounded and can't understand this tactic.

Can anyone see why we did this from the first bounce after playing 2 weeks of attacking footy - where we actually won.

TW needs to answer for this.

Agree totally U2. Was shattered watching the first quarter and said to my mates we will again run out of puff with all this pushing back.
We need to be more positive.

I still haven't settled down after that match - that was a crap game all round, disgraceful effort. A waste of my time to go along and sit through such a shameful display!

Don't be so upset over the flooding tactics. It just means TW is one game closer to his final game. TW is a smart football guy, but his style is just not working for us. He will be gone within 12 months.

coached the same way he did against crows - woefull

we are no longer good at the MCG which is SAD

Considering the better games we played and won at Freo and at Port, we might as well become the 18th team because for some reason we play better outside Victoria.

Absolutely correct. Wasn't that many days ago that Walace is talking about our last quarter fade-outs and how we are doing different things on the track to try and combat it. Bingo a game plan that has the team unning its legs off and voila touched up in the third quarter and absolutely smacked in the last.

The similarities between this loss and the loss to Adelaide are fairly frightening. We run around like vibro chooks, don't make enough of the chances we create due to poor skills and fall in a hole and act like roadkill in the 4th quarter. In both games Cotchin is a star in a losing side. Pathetic to have a midfield held together by a first year player who didn't have a pre-season. I thought the aim was to bring him up to AFL standard - not have him try and help the rest remedials he finds in the ones. :pullhair

It was actually 3rd quarter fade outs and they do seem to have stopped.

We are soft in the midfield when it counts

Tuck tried hard and was stuffed each time he came off

Too many others wanted it to happen

We won the ruck and lost the battle

I think you've missed the point mate. Easy to stop fading out against a side of comprable or lower skill. Bit harder when you are playing a side above you. Instead of going toe to toe for all four quarters against the beter sides we seem to be running ourselves into the ground early which creates more chances for us and a lead and then we get badly rolled when we can't do all that extra running.

I get your point, but thats a different problem to the 3rd quarter fade outs, which can only be mental and which haven't happened for 2 weeks now.
