Being the caring person I am I'm posting this to cheer a few of the negative brigade up a bit. ;D

RICHMOND v Essendon, Saturday 2.10pm, MCG
Football manager Greg Hutchison said there was a good chance Clinton King could get a recall on Saturday after recovering from a knee injury. He said King had been training well. The "battle of the sashes" had not been fought since the two sides met in London last October for an exhibition match at the Oval. Richmond won that contest in front of 12,000, most of them expat Aussies. Training: today, 3pm, MCG; Friday, 11am, Punt Road.
 
I dont care if King is training well, he sure doesnt play well and coming off an ijury he is best at Coburg to play out the year uintil his impending delisting which cant come soon enough.
 
If he gets a call up this week it will be disgraceful and I for one will not be going to the game - serious.

If this occurs I will be out there calling for tiger supporters who haven't signed up as members, not to.

Enough is enough, its not funny.

Not attending the game and telling non members not to sign up if King gets picked???? My god, supporters like you we don't need.
 
Theboss - I'm afraid your mistaken. If this occurs then its the coaches and the selection committee that are currently in place at RFC that we do not need.

You might enjoy mediocrity, you might thrive on failures, however I for one do not.

If King gets a call up it will be disgraceful - completely disgraceful. I try and be positive, I try and be optimistic, but if this crap occurs then frawely has definately used up his last chance of gaining any respect from me and other tiger fans.

King was pathetic in his first 3-4 rounds, did nothing for coburg and has missed a game due to injury. Why would he be picked into the side. This would only confirm that frawley only picks his buddies in the team - there is no other reason.

If you accept this crap then its supporters like you that we definately don't need.
 
I've been a member of this mediocre team for 22 years and I too am sick of it. I agree with your comments and I have the same frustration that you and others on this forum feel.
Harry, we all have the RFC at heart but to not attend the game this week because King gets picked and telling Richmond supporters not to buy a membership DOES NOT have the RFC at heart.

I will support my team no matter what, others might be different. Oh, and I agree King must not be picked in the Senior side again, but that won't stop me attending games.

As for King getting selected - the most ludicrous comment I've ever heard. I just lost any bit of respect I had left for our selection committee. As Harry said, did nothing in 3 games, got injured so to justify his selection now????? Baffling to say the least.

Nicols, McGrath, etc... they'll see that and lose every bit of confidence in the club and woosh, they'll be gone and star at a club who knows potential and probably go on to win brownlows, etc.....

Onya Tiges, King is the one who'll win us a flag.... yeah right!!!

Who would you pick instead and give reasons. I am not a kingy fan but I have to believe that the Coaching Panel has some idea about who is playing and who is not.

Lets wait and see until thursday before we jump ship and rip up membership cards or turn potential members away. The agro isn't needed between Richmond Fans. ( I know I have made similar comments before as well) We have 4-2 win loss ratio a chance to beat the bummers this week, lets not get upset when we can not do anything about the situation.

The clubs in general dont read bulletin boards like this. So if you feel that strongly send them a letter. Millsy responded personally to one of the psoters this year. It could be worth doing.

KL is also someone that can get views across politly to the club as part of a members forum. Maybe if we were given some details as to what you want (politly from the club) she could drop them off through the forum.

No one on the board is satisfied with the middle of the road performances but we can do very little this time of the year.

The truth we have only 29 players fit .... bad situation
The truth we could only afford 36 players .... worse situation
We may have to pick Kingy.......... bad situation
Members Leaving or not signing up ... Diaster

The boss, don't feed me this line about not having the rfc at heart - I wouldn't be on this forum if thats the case. Lets not get all patriotic all of a sudden.

Realistically I wouldn't need to call all non-members not to sign up if frawely keeps playing his talentless buddies. Who would want to watch king roll around on the ground and be shooed away like a moth, anyway.

Ian Campbell is trying to figure out how to increase the RFC membership. I'll give you an idea Ian, smack the spud over the head when he's contemplating naming the kings of this world in the lineup.
 
Khan, are you serious or are you just trying to get a response from me? I think you're only teasing, but good try anyway.
 
You don't have the club at heart if you detract people from signing up as members or not attend games just because you disagree with the selection of a player.

Anyway it's your choice, but I don't believe you will have to boycott the game as he won't be picked and that will make everyone happy.
 
Theboss - don't be surprised. They picked Butter-Scum last week didn't they?

It is my choice - definately. I haven't missed a game for a while and even though I think we can win I will boycott. If King is in, Harry is out.

And if this occurs then KL can notify the RFC members forum that members are not turning up because of such ridiculous selections. Hopefully this would in turn filter through to Greg Miller and Ian Campbell.

I will be writing to the club if this occurs - mark my words.
 
Can't explain the selection of Butterscum last week Harry, you might be right. A senior team this week that potentially could include the likes of Butterscum, Little King, Petticoat, Hyde and Vardy, we might be in trouble playing with 17 and 5 passengers.

I heard Ian Campbell on 3AW last night and he said he wants open communication with members and he wouldn't mind us ringing him. Why don't you do that if you feel so strongly about King's potential selection and your boycott?
 
Harry - you have me very confused. Last week you said that people who could afford it should become members NO MATTER WHAT. Today you are saying if King is selected you will tell people not to become members. Sorry, but you cannot have it both ways.

I agree King should not be selected but as Khan rightly points out we have 29 people to select from can we at least wait until Thurday evening, he has to pass the fitness test first.

Khan - the Charter of the Members Forum (that the Forum has formulated and) that we are currently finalising says that the Forum is to have no input into the Football Department. Our focus is improving things we have control over. If people have problems with the way the Football Dept is being run then the need to contact the Football Dept direct. So in that regard you advice to Harry is spot on - contact Greg Miller.
 
Actually I was serious about sending your complaints to the Club or through KL. You have a lot of good points, passion and so forth just tend to put them forward slightly negativly.

Mills did respond to smoeone on this list by the way.

p.s I dont have a problem with you Harry, because you are here during the Wins and Losses there are some others who seem to only appear when we loose.
 
Harry you are a disgrace. Disuading others from becoming members because you disagree with a selection or two. The club needs those memberships, without i dont think you have seen how low Richmond can plummet. With them maybe they can do something about all the problems you have with our club.

Give it a rest, you sound pathetic in regards to this matter. Dont be so self indulged.

No problems Khan. Feedback about why people are not renewing is what we pass on. We all know that some people have not renewed this year because of last years results. But we cannot control the on field stuff (no matter how much we would like to be able too). What we are trying to do is work on ways that encourage people to sign up despite on field performances.
 
Just reminding some people that team selections are not until tomorrow ::). Let us worry about realities not ifs. Like how we will spank the bummers this saturday ;D/
