Your View On Wallace Tanking.

Agree with most that
- Wallace did the best thing for the club in the situation
- he shouldn't have opened his yap
- the system stinks and the AFL is guilty of negligence on this issue

TW just loves the sound of his own voice . Shut u p Terry your  no tiger stop trying to wreck our club smile wit  :smash :smash :smash

Wait for the AFL please explain......that should ensure it gets as messy as King St at 3am on Sunday morning.

Paul Roo's got one over a comment made in a pre-season game, this tools comments are almost certainly going to require an explanation. Demostos will be fuming!

Can't recall the Roos comment, but I do not think what Wallass did has any ground for a please explain. What did he do wrong? From a technical point of view he failed to make a move in last quarter. OK, he's come out and said so, he didn't use the word tank in any sentence. To the football world it is perceived as tanking, but in an investigation it wouldn't stick, well that what I think anyway and there's nothing to worry about.

The RFC should have had Wallace sign a non disclosure doc, as the Saints did with Thomas when he got shown the door.

If that's what the Saints did then yes, the RFC should have added a non-disclosure, rolled it up and stuck it up his arse.

The other point is that that the Saints have beaten us something like 11-12 games in a row so to volunteer that we threw a game against the Saints is akin to the Washington Generals saying they tanked a specific game against the Harlem Globetrotters while trying the hardest to win all the others.

Wow, Redford was holding you back. That is some of your sharpest JB.

Fair enough WT, but if that was Wallet's attempt at tanking he's as bad at that as he was at everything else. Pick your best 22 and you run the chance of not getting the result you want despite any moves or non-moves you may make as coach.

Agree. But geez, I don't blame the club for tanking. I will happily take the next 6 weeks of getting roled to improve quicker. Bit short sighted not to.

You just have to look for small victories by players, not on the scorebaord. It sucks but it is what it is.

Correct. 6 losses in the next 6 weeks is exactly what we need.

Along the way, we have to look for positives as we had on Sunday:

- Post taking some nice grabs
- Riewoldt 8 marks in a half
- Tambling's continued development
- Vickery looking more at home out there and starting to gather possesions around the ground
- Edwards playing a nice game across half back

sheesh talk about digging up old stories. wallace said at the time he never wants to be in that situation again where loseing was more important than winning. in other words lose and you win but win and you lose.its all about what is going to cost you the most in the long term.

and if anyone thinks we tanked that game well im laughing my head of.

I think we needed to get our recruitment team up and running a bit better before we tanked.

But we will get there, eventually... I hope. :)

Go Tiges!

How can you tell if Wallace was tanking or not? A 37% win ratio over 5 years just proves that this spud had no idea how to win anyway.
All of those wins probably came from the players ignoring all his directions, gameplan? and coaching.

Newman's own recollections of the match in which he secured three Brownlow votes were vague and he admitted his disappointment in Wallace's comments.

'I'm not sure where Terry was coming from with that."

If there's to be any fallout from Wallet's pathetic yap, the club is rightly trying to 'John Elliott' it's former employee.

As I recal we did pretty well against the Saints when he sat in the box and didn't coach. Shame he didn't spot the correlation and stop coaching period.
