To all you experts out there that keep preaching over and over again that the side plays better without Richo or that Richo demands too much of the ball and doesn't give our other forwards a go, you have got to be kidding, if I ever hear that sh!t again I will chuck. Welcome to life after Richo it's not so nice is it. It is time to STOP making excuses for our pathetic so called footballers who are lucky they breathe the same air as Richo.

We are a joke!

While I truly agree with your sentiment - you'd have a lot more credibility if you could spell - before accusing people of being 'idiots'.

Maybe we shoud just keep playing Richo until he is 50. ::)

Richo is done and dusted, time to move on and start playing the kids.

Correct me if I'm wrong Chocco but didnt Richo play in the Carlton debacle, the Bulldogs thrashing and the Melbourne capitulation?? ::)

Cant see how he would have made much difference out there today.

Remember its a TEAM game, and we're just not playing as a team at all this year.

Thats not my point, there are a select few on here who keep banging on about how when Richo plays he is hindering the development of our young forwards and our team plays better without him because he demands the ball. It just shows that we don't have any significant forwards or forward structure, through recruiting and coaching. I am sick of hearing excuses for our players.

Maybe those who think that Richo has hindered development have a point. Without Richo, maybe we would have developed a better forward line by now. I look back to 1995 when this gets raised. We did ok without Richo back then because our forward line was more flexible and less predictable. I can't see that changing in the future when Richo finally does give the game away. The only thing we have learned today is that Richo should have been moved out of the forward line years ago to allow for younger players to come through. I have seen enough Richo hissy fits in the past to believe that is some truth in the claims that he demands the ball.

Regarding recruiting and coaching I agree with you.

He played on a wing all year in 2008 and if as a AFL player you can't go out there and demand your own ball or go and get your own ball they should not be playing then. Own the game, rip it apart, smash through a pack, make a tackle or block for your team - now that has got nothing to do with Richo has it?

One year is hardly enough to develop a forward line is it? Especially with the group of players we have got who are continually shunted back and forth between the Tiges and Coburg every bloody week.

He can demand the ball all he wants but if someone takes a different option and gives it to another player who also demanding the ball, then so be it.
