Shane Edwards

I think we're more deluded than the Bummers TBH.

I just can't believe this. Are we actually scared of trading??

If he's on more than 200k a year, we've overpaid. I've never seen a player be in the league for as long as he has and not develop, just meander around the same level of performance.

A bog standard, average footballer and one we should've let go.

Our boy's could do with a bit of Danks juice at the moment.

Might as well.

AFL articles says 'SHANE Edwards has recommitted to Richmond to the end of 2016 as this year's free agency pool continues to dry up.'

Dry up?? It's the longest list I've ever seen.

for all his faults I can think of 10 I'd chop before him. Has some tricks (I realise one of these is missing the ball with his foot) and flair and if used properly is worth a spot on the list

Should be traded at seasons end (if anyone will take).

Unlikely with him just signing on for another two years. I am with MJ, he is far from our worst player, plenty I would move on before him. The trouble is they are all contracted!

Staggered.....again. It's this continual holding on of guys HOPING they come good that's part if the reason we are in the mess we,re in. And it continues. I know he can still ve traded but how often does someone sign an extension contract then want to leave 6 months later?

Hoping he was signed for what he was worth.

If he hasn't reached his potential by now he never will.

This is spot on. We would've got a extra second round pick (end of round) as compo for Edwards if he walked. But no, we just double down on a average hand. I'm not saying let him go but don't just give him the deal without seeing what's out there & how hot the market is for him. Getting that extra second round pick opens up the draft.

"Hey GWS we will give you the worst of our second rounders for Toby Greene"

"Hey Swans we will give you the worst of our second rounders for Dean Rampe"

We still have our first two picks and an upgrade for Shank. Or we keep him on our terms.

But we just doubled down on a six at the blackjack table. Might work. Might not.

They couldn't even play him in his most useful position for 6 years. Thought he was gonna be the flyweight Greg Williams or something. Must be a helluva nice bloke.
