You could tell he was a goose from the Preliminary Final after-match interview when he was asked about how it felt to be playing in a Grand Final, and he said something as banal as "we'll be playing to win".
Really? I thought they'd have been coming over to lose.

I can't believe he was voted best captain last year as well. Overrated player, overrated leader based on his grand final playing exploits and an overrated bloke given his antics immediately after the game and since re Lever. Absolute numpty.

don't forget the GF speech. Terrible, embarrassing, not a leaders ring.

Lambasted Lever for leaving for money rather than success, after their GF shocker I think Lever has a better chance of getting both.

Double standards by Walker.

Lever got low balled initially is the word.

Glad Bartel came out and said it how it is. Respect to Bartel.

A triple premiership player.

First Josh Jenkins and now Tex Walker.

Why do these guys assume that remaining in Adelaide is the way to find success? The evidence suggests that if someone wants to succeed they have to leave. Just look at Patrick Dangerfield, Jack Gunston and now Ben Rutten, an Assistant coach at the 2017 Premiers. Phil Davis is closer to success than Tex Walker.

Thats the part that struck me straight away ,

While it may seem like Adelaide are closer to success than Melbourne right now,

The last two seasons have proved nothing is predictable , I thought it was a silly thing to say ,especially after the Jenkins comment on Dangerfield , you would think he would learn ,

not the sharpest tool in the shed .

If we can't win every flag until I die and then 100 more, I'd love to see Lever get one just to stick it up Tex and the conspiracy theorists who support the Crows who think everything is a Victorian bias

Robbo's now calling him a buffoon :hihi. If anyone knows what a buffoon looks like, Robbo does. Spends a lot of time looking at himself in the mirror. Tex really is having a shocking week.

The Dees smacked the Crows by 41 points at Adelaide oval in round 7.

the ripple effect of a grand final loss is perforating Texs astral plain - to the extent that he is now a donut.

Will never be an inspirational captain capable of leading his team to a premiership. Walker is not inspiring, either by deed or word.

I don't know what was worse. The fact that Tex was voted best captain or that Cotch wasn't even voted in the top 5 best captains in the league. I think voting was done during Prelim week, so at the very least, you'd think the 4 captains with teams still playing would get voted here.

Cotch for mine clearly number 1 captain this year. Played selfless footy, tackled hard, body on the line always, lead by example and was clutch all year. He really doesn't get the respect he deserves. Him not even being named in the 40 man all Australian squad, while about 9 power rangers were named, also shows this.

What's the club actually doing?? What's Pkye doing? They must be still numb and traumatised by the slapping they copped on GF day.
Walker needs to hold back because in 12 months time his mate Sloane will walk...where? Back to Melbourne
