Game Day - Richmond vs Brisbane - QF 2020

Lost it in the last 4/5 minutes of the 2nd quarter. Needed to just hold the scoreline. They had thrown everything at us and with the rub of the green were only level.
Needed to regroup and it was game on.

Dusty was immense for the 1st quarter and then the last 3 quarters everything he touched seemed to turn to *smile*.

Very strange game from the champ.
It was a strange game all round I think. We were not cohesive all night.maybe recent changes to the line up affect team balance more than we think. I think we are carrying our small forwards this year and Astbury back has affected the structure a lot. (Yes chol was awful and we were undisciplined and the umpiring sucked too)

Started to lose our "connection" after the double 50. Never really recovered. 2 or 3 players off tucker and that's enough. Soldo a massive loss. Can't be underestimated

Lambert getting a free pass here. Has been putrid all year. How many poor games before any scrutiny on him??

I thought Lambert was pretty good, you must have been watching a different game to me.

I’m going to be contentious and say the back line looks unsettled with dtld back

Would be very very confident if that sceanerio were to come to fruition, no need to panic, plenty left in the tank.
Port in Adelaide is the issue. If we get over next week (lot of work to do still) Port has it's tail up and are very hard to beat over there. Plus they will get an arnchair ride from the umpires. Hometown decisions will rule.

I really think we had to win tonight. We can still do it but geez we've made it hard.

The umpires were whistle happy in that first half.

But we were sucked in by the Lions in the second quarter. Those 50m penalties are game killers. Especially in shortened quarters and close games.

That last 5-10 minutes of the second quarter cost us the game.
I reckon the first 5-10 of the 2nd cost us SA, we were dominating and couldn’t even get a snap on goal , normally we’d get 2or 3 in that period of dominance, should have been 4 goals up and ripped there hearts out

We allowed Andrews to do what he wanted unfortunately. Chol didn't engage him enough, which meant that Jack was constantly double teamed.

Best way to etch the name in immortality is to do it the hard way. I am looking forward to it.

All we learned tonighr is Jack cant lead a forward line as a #1 marking option anymore & Chol is not close ro finals maturity. Outside of that, the Lions played their game perfectly & we struggled to get our game going. We had not much go right while they had nothing go wrong. 18-11 frees & 4-1 50s. They had a dream run & we never gave up. They literally beat us for 4 minutes @ the end of the half.

If we get them in the GF we beat 'em
Jack is a half forward flanker :peepwall

Do the 50m penalty goals counts as stoppage goals?
