Sure blokes carry niggles through season, but this bloke looks absolutely cooked. Definitely something not right and I genuinely believe that it's braver to put your hand up and say I'm not right than attempting to go out and play and practically contribute nothing.
The team is bigger than the individual.

Watched the game again today. Don't reckon Lamblett was as bad as many are making out. Not sure that most of our side are playing as well as they are usually capable of, but it might be that opposition sides are more aware of our game system and sitting on us a bit harder. It's only taken them four years but some coaches might have worked us out a bit.
Two weeks to go before the cup gets presented n the winner will well and truly have earned it this year. We're not that far off playing our best team footy n if a couple of our best find more than an inch of time n room we're more than capable of blowing the doors off the finals again.

at the game, I thought he was good.

I looked at our forward set up once and it was

George Jack Lambo

Shai Tom Dusty

and I looked in the guts,

and its Cotchy Dion Sheds Nank

and I thought 'what hope does anyone have?'

But it's well-known you wear the rose-coloured glasses. I reckon he's playing like an old man with that bad hip. Can't bend down, can't react fast; can't evade a charging young tackler which he will be targetted by next week; kicks about the power of a good Auskicker.

Sorry, Kane, you need to stand aside; team first. Another flag is at stake.

Ross deserves his chance. (although I would love to find a spot for Markov to get his pace in against Poort. Could play forward/wing perhaps, but all depends on what we do with rucks this time). So probably Ross.

On the ground Ezy you thought he moved well & looked unhindered?
It’s harder watching on tv.

My concern too with their rucks.
Both 203 cms?
Nank 199.

What to do?

I think you see hindered movement better on TV.

But I picked up no issue. I got the impression he played well, especially in the first half.

It's a good point you make. If only Chol was reliable the change would be made.
Can’t trust Chol.
But you know he MAY be coming into their calculations. Stretch their undersized defence. Lynch, Jack & Chol ( who played well last time we met ) & possibly since we got our midfield strength back will they play Dusty more forward ala Cats did with Dangerfield.

The luxury of getting back Nank, Cotch, Graham, Prestia & Edwards.

The X factor of Shai changes the dynamics too.

So the rucks will be the key. Lose a Lambert or George for a tall? Lose run for a tall? If we can’t mark it makes us vulnerable off the counter. ?

It also depends if Marshall comes up as they have ( may go ) with 3 talls in their forward set up with Dixon, Marshall & Ladhams ? So Balta is then required back so rucking is out of the question, same with Astbury with his knee issues?? Broad undersized. Can’t afford them quick transition from ruck & stoppages...

Going to be heated debate with the MC , coaches & Dimma.

Copped it from quite a few posters in the gameday thread tonight. Stood up when needed in that final term with 2 crucial goals. Experience. You need those heart and soul type players like Lambert in the team. Especially the way we play.

Well done Kane.

Yep, one thing Lambert can do is kick clutch goals as a crumbing forward. Even when he's not in best form he offers a lot more than his depth player replacement would.
