U.S Presidential Election

Trump just 3500 votes ahead in Georgia, with around 19,000 still to be counted. 77,000 ahead in North Carolina, with 5% (around 250,000 maybe) still to be counted. 60,000-odd ahead in PA, with 200,000+ still to come in.

Though Donald has helped us get 3 flags during his tenure, expecting an announcement anytime soon that like some of our other assistants, he'll be taking his talents elsewhere.

strange that some sites have declared arizona won with 90% compete and still very close.
 
Can't see Trump winning Arizona the way it is at the moment (Harry, Biden is ahead in Arizona and Democrats have been the majority of early and postal voters so it would be strange to see Trump make up ground on the early and postal votes which are what would be being counted now presumably).

I reckon:
Nevada: Biden
Arizona: Biden
Georgia: Biden
North Carolina: Trump
Pennsylvania: Biden

The postal votes were always going to favour Biden as Biden has been encouraging postal and early voting throughout the campaign, while Trump was telling his supporters not to postal or early vote (despite the fact he voted early) and to vote on the day in person.

Remember also that Biden just needs 2 of the above (1 if you agree with the media outlets who have called Arizona) so the likelihood is Biden will win unless the stacked courts decide they have more right to decide the election than the voters.

The larger problem will be an obstructionist Senate and McConnell will do everything to make Biden's Presidency difficult. At the moment the Senate sits at 48 Republicans, 46 Democrats, 2 Others and 2 in doubt. I'm not really up on how Senators are elected in each state but it looks like the Republicans are favoured to win in North Carolina and that there will be a run off election in Georgia (which will presumably depend on who can get their vote out).

The US system relies on less party loyalty in congress and more resolving of issues by compromise. It used to be the case decades ago that a Northern Republican would vote more progressively than a Southern Democrat. Those days are long gone now but the system is dysfunctional as the politics has become more partisan and it is very difficult to control all 3 of the House, Senate and Presidency.

We have seen this from time to time over the last few years but what we are now seeing in full view is the real Donald Trump.
An unhinged person clearly with a Narcissistic personality disorder.
He is showing the world again why he was never fit to hold office.
The standing in the world of the US has diminished slowly over time but it has never been this low. Here is the “beacon of democracy” the country who lectures the world about democratic values being led by an unhinged lunatic who wants to trash the values that the country is supposed to hold.
I really feel for so many friends I have in the US right now

If, as looks likely Biden goes on to win the Presidency, can we expect Trump to follow the protocols of outgoing Presidents.

Trump himself said that Obama was very gracious in the transition period before Trumps inauguration.
Will Trump leave a patriotic letter in a desk draw in the Oval Office for Biden like George Bush senior did for Clinton, I doubt it.
Whatever Trump says it will be through gritted teeth.
