Round 5 Other Games

Grundy played a strong first quarter.
By midway through the 3rd he was jogging and giving nothing. No pushing run deep into the forward line. Not demanding the pill in dangerous spots.
He has midfielder level disposals and most are dinky handballs. He received a handball from Mayne on the halfback line and immediately handballed it straight back.
Fraud.
And he is on high money for long time? Fraud of a footballer
Don't pay ruckmen. Pay footballers.

I reckon Nank, Soldo, CJ and Chol combined would take up about the same salary cap space as Manbundy.

Sidebottom spent the entire night jibbing the contest.
And This Dacios is no better then an Chris Hyde or Ben Hollands.
Over rated dud.
They better hope his brother is better.
Because its looking like a pick 4-7 going to be used to get him (GWS have their first pick)

Collingwood are us in 2009
Then the new coach will have absolute devastation to work with.

Why was nothing said of Collingwood not writing DeGoey of formally for concussion if he had it.

Was it so he can avoid a mandatory layoff?

Broken noses dont stop blokes from playing but failing a HIA does.

Buckley said he had delayed concussion and will miss next weeks game.
Howe is finished.
Milocheck did a shoulder
And Sidebottom did a heart muscle.

Both teams very average.
How was Higgins pick 17 and Allen pick 21??
Imagine Riewodlt lynch Allen
We wouldn't lose for 4 years
I agree with you. Allen is worth 2 x Higgos already, and might become x 3.

But, just don't tell me, was Liam Duggan still there when we took Corey Ellis at pick 12? I remember they were team-mates, I think, at Calder Cannons.

If correct; that's another huge mistake. Duggan very handy type with a sharp and raking left-foot delivery, and brave.

Nick Daicos is elite. Rowell elite style. Out Pendlebury, In Daicos Jnr the lucky buggers

Allen is a gun but just on Duggan, we never had a chance to get him as the eagles had the pick before us.

Duggan im pretty sure went earlier.
Its unbelievable we have drafted a 1000 talls over the years but when one like Allen was there, they decided a slow Smurf would be worth pick 17. Especially when we already had Castagna Rioli and Bulter.
Maybe the lure of Lynch the following year put them off, but not taking Allen in my eyes will be worse then fiora over Pavlich.

How many times have you heard that before?
Im waiting to see.
I remember Danny Roach will be the to best mid since Greg Williams and Naish will be the best winger in the comp in 2 years..

we've definately blown a few early picks. But Higgins was tracking beautifully in 2018. And on the balance of all picks we are putting some other clubs to shame.

Maybe we could swap some of our picks for their first rounder which is looking like a top 10 at this stage? They get enough points to secure Daicos without using a top 10 pick, we get a high first round pick and access to some elite talent.

They already traded it last year

We'll have a top 10 pick via Geelong.

Yep GWS has the Pies 1st round pick, it is about time GWS had access to more 1st round picks:rolleyes:
Phhhht. Doesn't seem to be doing them much good. They just train them up to be average footballers n then trade them back out in four or five years time.

Yeah but working beautifully for us - keeps Cartlon, Collingwood and Essendon in mediocre as they trade top end picks for average footballers. It’s a great system.

Fortunately our next 2 picks were 20 (CCJ) and 25 (Balta) which i would argue makes up for missing on Allen.

Balta is clearly our best young KPP on our list and although CCJ remains an unproven talent at AFL level, by all reports he's tracking well.
