We currently will have pick 7 in this years draft.
Looking back at pick 7 selections over the last 10 years suggests that there's every chance that pick 7 will get you a good player.

2014 - Ahern - 24
2015 - Hopper - 100
2016 - Scrimshaw 42
2017 - H Clark - 59
2018 - B Smith - 57

Our next selection is pick 16, as can be expected, there in nowhere near as many good players at that location in the draft.
I'm keen on Cerra, but we must keep our first pick.

Yep and thats why I'm comfortable using that on Cerra.
I'd be trying to get the Dogs 1st too (with some of our later picks) and then package that and the Geelong pick to try and get another pick in the top 12.
