its been a while since we had a father son prospect, surely there is a father son gun coming in the next three years that we can salivate over, does anyboby know of any? :thumbsup

I seem to remember a thread about this a while ago . AsI recall it the best that we could come up with was Craig Lambert's boy who is about 13 and the Fleas 3 boys who are even younger .

With the rubbish thats racking up 100 games at will at the RFC over the years im all for sterilization so none of these duds can pass on their ineptness thus continuing the pain of their fathers legacy

Cant see any decent players coming to us via the Father Son rule for a number of years.... none of our half decent players of the last 15 years have had kids!!! Roach Raines and Bourke Jr never lived up to expectations. Then you had a number of kids who got close to AFL level but never seemed to make it to the elite level like Jess, Lee, Free, Montheath Jr.
Missed out on the only decent Cloke.
Need some Kellaways (taught how to kick at an early age), Bowdens, N Brown, Richo or further back Wilson, Wiley, Mitchell, Rawlings, Hogg kids!!!
Suspect we'll see yet another Judd, Buckley and a flock of Hirds out there before too long...

A quick question about the father son rule. Does the rule apply in which ever year they are drafted? So if they are drafted say after playing VFL for a couple of years because they missed out when they were 18.

Thats perfect for a kid your not sure about. Rather than wasting a pick on an 18 y.o. or trying to slip down to rookie a F/S your not sure about, suggest they need some more development at WAFL or VFL level then if they mature and develop a bit you can snaffle them with a F/S guarantee pick.Ty Esler said:
