The combined ages of 1st and 2nd place in the womens 10m platform was 29. Gold medalist is 14.

Was a bit like the skateboarding yesterday. Sky Brown the youngest British medallist at 13. The Japanese girl that won silver was 12!!

I mentioned it to my 13 year old daughter today, said they are at the Olympics winning medals and she is here telling me about a tv show called Outer Banks haha

Men’s 400m final tonight. Sensational. My second favourite event behind the marathon. Will be a great race. Think Gardiner gets it done in a close one. Maybe a WR. Wear the t-shirt !

must say I'm enjoying the Park Skating. Keegan Palmer in line for a gold here with a 94.04 on his first run.
The camaraderie shown by these kids towards each other is fantastic, both the guys today and the girls yesterday.

Kieran Woolley up into fourth after his second run, after crashing in his first.

Keegan got a 95 in his third and last run - way in front for gold

Update: Keegan Palmer got a gold, Kieran Woolley dropped down to fifth after crashing again in his third run.

Great fun

That was great to watch wasn't it? Any notion that skateboarding shouldn't be in the olympics is out the window now surely, that was fun, exciting and the tricks were amazing.

Johnson’s win at Atlanta is still one of the best sporting things I’ve seen

Never seen a turnaround like it. Durant is a freak. Some great defence on him and he kept hitting baskets. Hopefully we can finish off well and keep some confidence for the bronze match.
Durant is a unicorn. Kept them in the game. But we were awful. Delly shouldn’t be in the squad and we missed Baynes.

Generational change coming for the Boomers.

They get belted in quarter and semi final events all the time, or on occasion don’t even make them.

Do we overrate our men’s basketball ?

Matildas down 3-1 at the half against USA for the Bronze. Very tired and lacklustre defending. Looks like the Matildas miss out on a medal again.

4-1 now.

As I said earlier the Matildas are the most overrated Aussie national team. Sure, they never give up, but against strong professional organised teams, they don't compete well.

A very poor Olympic meet on the track continues for the Americans by not even qualifying for the men’s 4x100 relay. Wow.

Yallop is the Castagna of the Matildas. Amazing ability to stuff up attacking opportunities.

Yes. Ch.7 sure does. Anyone seriously thinking we are a real chance to beat the US in basketball is simply kidding themselves.

I don’t think so, they get to that level every time based on system, buy in and hustle. And you then need truly elite talent to be able to get a bucket when ever you need it. When we had Gaze we didn’t have the depth of supporting stars around him, now we have a much better overall level of talent but not the elite scorers. Patty is a gun but is a much better Shane Heal, thats our number one. I think we achieve to just the right level. Now we have Patty, Joe, Baynes, Delly, Goulding all retiring it’s going to be a huge shift. Hopefully Simmons, Giddey , Tyson Daniels ( remember the name) step up next.
