Neil Balme - Bring him back

L
Yep, Leppa/Fly/Burge/Balme and the rest all may have had excellent professional reasons for leaving the club when they did.

Key coaches leaving the club when we were on the verge of a three-peat does at least raise the question though.
Didn't Burge get the ass from Stkilda?
Leppa, Carcella Rutten, McCrea and Kingsley are current news because they have been Part of the best team in the last 4 years.
Winner's are wanted, Loses are forgotten.
Hardwick is still there, that's all that matters in my eyes

Remember, he became a senior consultant so that Livo could become head of the football department. By my understanding it was co-ordinated as a matter of succession with Neil's blessing. That consultancy may well have changed, in scope and/or remuneration given the changes to the soft cap. Neil may well have decided that he still has one big role left in his career. He also may have personal reasons to go to SA. Altogether, it doesn't necessarily reflect that there is something bad happening at Punt Road.

As to assistant coaches, remember your currency is high when you are in a flag winning system. Stay too long and the lustre can diminish as rivals look to the next shiny new thing. Football clubs can be a bit like sheep.

We have a solid board, CEO, head of footy, head of list management and coach, a really good base. No need to draw negatives here IMO other than to acknowledge its sad to see such a popular and influential figure move on.

Lets cut to the chase he left because he is South Australian.
He would've got a *smile* load more to move and Adelaide is a retirement village
Let’s cut to the chase.
He left because the vanilla slices are better in SA.

Yep all good and sad to see him go.

Balmie likes to come in and contribute - he does still like the thrill of the challenge and his work was done at tigerland - thanks for everything, an important cog in our 3 flags.

Just found out and Geeeez, this one hurts me greatly, as I believe his arrival was the biggest turning point in our huge upwards growth from 2017. Have loved this Man since his playing days for the Tiges, still think he may have been one of the most intimidating players to have ever pulled on a Jumper and made his team mates feel invincible on the field because they knew he would always have their backs and he GENUINELY SCARED opposition players.

As a Football administrator, has been a huge success wherever he has gone, that's no coincidence, he's just very good at what he does.

Wish him nothing but the best and a huge Thank You for helping bring the Mighty Tiges BACK to being hugely significant again, never forgotten Big Man.

What’s an acceptable grace period before we’re allowed to boo him?

I’d guessing when Adelaide wins their next Premiership?

Dont fear Wayne Campbell will replace him.
Great mate's with Benny

its more a sw

or the Beer

:vomit :vomit :vomit :vomit :vomit

coopers is *smile* horrible. Ive honestly said no to a coopers red when ive been hot and thirsty at the end of a days work and had a drink of tepid tap water instead.

northern rivers people all drink coopers. Its really weird. When people say theyre comover for a beer, i just say flat

'dont bring coopers'

That chunky murray sludge at the bottom is :vomit

i find it unfathomable how wrong peoples taste and style can be.

You are right. Balmy has completed what he set out to do at Richmond and he has not too much to do now. His salary can be better directed to new coaches. He will leave with Benny and Peggy’s blessing. He will be at Adelaide for maybe two years in an advisory capacity. Oh and despite what has been written it is still not official yet.

Yep, Coopers is the staple up there. Was there ever a boycott after it came out Coopers were against gay marriage?

you have been hanging around Stig & TBR too much :)
I rather have cut Hardwick and kept everyone else . You don’t leave an organisation if you are happy and the joint is flying . Let’s hope Leppa doesn’t end up at the Pies with Fly ‍♂️
