Prestia will be a good barometer for us next year I think. We are in the unusual situation of having lots of players who have had playing and financial success relatively early in their careers, Prestia more than anyone.

How motivated he is will go a long way to determining where this side goes next.
Unless you know differently, I don't see Dion's motivation slipping. He loves the game and the club to do that and will be a driving force for us providing he stays fit

Didn't I read somewhere that Dion was running the tan with Stack? Looks like the wrong player got influenced by the other!

Lets hope he gets through Preseason without pinging a hammy.

He generally gets fantastic write ups through 80% and then with 3 weeks to go does a hammy or has a tight calf.

No, I have no idea, just saying he will be a good canary in the coalmine for us, especially now he looks like one.

Love to see him come out and have a massive year, would put us right back in contention.

dion is entirely capable of, if not likely to,

win the brownlow if he could play 22 HA games in a season

This is actually a relief , saw this thread pop up and my first thought was some sort of injury given his history..

Hopefully both double dosed? but at the very least they would be single vaccinated.

Also I have seen Dion training a couple of times at the club in the last couple of weeks hopefully he hasn't passed on to anyone.

Foxfooty.com.au reported earlier this month that all Richmond players had received at least one dose of a Covid vaccine.
They are not due back at training until December 6, and the club says it will not interrupt the start of pre-season training for first to fourth-year players on Monday November 22.

As long as they were fully vaxxed it's a non story - if not - it's a major fup.

Hopefully it's just a mild dose and there's no issues with lung capacity etc in the aftermath.

Still don't get the hysteria.
It's here. We are living with it.

Not really hysteria but is of interest as an indication it may become a common occurrence next season so in an AFL context every positive case will be news.

So how will the AFL deal with it, can't see them deferring a game like they did with the VIC v NSW Shield match recently when only one player tested positive but if the player tests positive on the morning of the game what then?, no time for the rest of the squad to get tested.
I hope the AFL doesn't bring in training restrictions again, that would suck!

PS. There will be hysteria on here when Dusty & Shai test positive on the same day before GF Day

The AFL is developing a policy to minimise the disruptions caused by COVID-19 cases and to protect against teams being shut down or losing multiple players during the season, with modification of training processes being considered.

A fit healthy double vaxxed athlete. It will be an amazing case study to see how what impact this has on Meatball on Balta.

My extremely unfit brother-in-law is fully vaccinated and tested positive. Felt like he had a cold for a couple of days and is fine now. As intended, vaccination significantly lessens the effect of the virus on the person who contracts it.

I'm not bagging PRE hysteria, more the media etc.
Next season will be a mess. Players in bubbles again?
