Umpire farce - Getting worse by the minute!

Yes that's obvious now, do not show replays of Tigers free kick against!
Years ago free kicks were scrutinized on tv to an inch of their lives!
Half the time they won’t show them at the ground either. Too controversial obviously.

It's the way of the world unfortunately. Censorship and eliminate all dissent.

This morning on SEN, Figgy mentions to Gawwy that Grimo should be applauded as skipper in not getting a 50 against that dangerous tackle that even Figgy thought wasn't a free, and all Gawwy could do was ignore him and concentrate on the live golf.

This d-head keeps opening his bias with Dynastybourne everytime all goes quiet on discussing/calls/texts about them.

Never seen a crowd so angry and bewildered and vicious towards the umpiring and these moronic rules and interpretations .It was getting so worked up it bordered on dangerous .
Spot fights, anger and arguing like ive never seen in decades. The rules and the over zealous umpiring absolutley ruined the night.
There is no way anyone would ever want to umpire with these rubbish rules.
The decent penalty has been.a catastrophy as has the stand on the mark one .
Nothing will be fixed until the afl inderstands the umps must PUT THE WHISTLE AWAY AND ONLY PAY THE BLEEDING OBVIOUS..

Two fans did jump the fence and run onto the ground ,im not sure if they were going for the umpires or not but it seemed possible as the crowd was intensly hostele

LET THE PLAYERS PLAY.
LET THE STARS SHINE..LET THE FANS ENJOY IT ALL
STOP INTERFERING AND DESYROYING THE GAME

Heard that this morning and thought exactly the same thing. Turned over to Triple J instantly!

And therein lies the REAL problem with umpire quotas: the AFL has made it such a manure fight to umpire the game that nobody wants - or even knows how - to do it.

I see more and more evidence that puts paid to 'the way we play' theory of why we get shafted year after year. Carlton and Melbourne both play similarly. Putting pressure on the opposition when they have the ball has always been a hallmark of success and always will be.

Why do the umps hate us and love Footscray year after year? There has to be a rational explanation. I don't believe its a conspiracy, but if head office hates us, and there is evidence that suggests they do, there doesn't have to be. The new rules? Nope this was happening prior to their introduction.

I'd love to hear any other theories. The data is now irrefutable that we get shafted. I can only think of 2:

1) AFL head office hates us and that filters down.
2) Jumper colours causing some involuntary psychological reaction or tendencies.

Maybe its a combo of both, but for me its gotta be 1.

Because tigers already have 100,000 members ans draw big crowds whereas those like footscray and demons dont ...they need to win as many games and flags as possible to draw members and crowds ...thats all I can come up with as there is mow way bont and gawn woukd of had those goals nullified like bolton and tarrant did...umps obsessed wirh finding free kicks ahainst us

And don’t just look at the 2022 disparity. Go back to 2016 and onwards.

This has been going on for a number of years.

Note: last week Mince Whateley in an interview with Malcom Speed, asked him about Richmond’s long running, tenuous relationship with the AFL. There’s clearly a problem.

Yep, and I posted yesterday, this thread started 10 years ago. I'm sure we had this even well before 2012.
