This morning on SEN, Figgy mentions to Gawwy that Grimo should be applauded as skipper in not getting a 50 against that dangerous tackle that even Figgy thought wasn't a free, and all Gawwy could do was ignore him and concentrate on the live golf.

This d-head keeps opening his bias with Dynastybourne everytime all goes quiet on discussing/calls/texts about them.

Somehow Lyon who was already dislikeable has become way way more dislikeable since Melbourne actually became good. The smug look across his face all the time, makes me want to punch the TV.

I watched the last quarter. With 15 minutes to go a lions player gets the softest free kick I have ever seen and goals from the boundry. Then the Hawks get a free at the bounce, kick long, and another Hawks free right in front leading to a goal. It was like watching kids footy when one ump is cheating so the other one starts to cheat for his side to even it up. It's a joke.
When that happened I said “maybe the second umpire didn’t agree with the soft free kick paid to Brissy by first umpire and thought he’d even it up”. It has truly become a joke. I was with company on Saturday so the footy was on with no sound - I had no idea why free kicks were being paid. So p’d off with everything AFL, but I have to keep watching because I love my Tigers.

That's how I perceive him this season. Looks and sounds smug happy everytime I see/hear him speak. It's like he's itching to get to the finals knowing they're gonna win again and start claiming a dynasty......in which they think will be better than ours. That's why I hate that spoon-fed club.

Don’t forget how many years they tanked for early draft picks same as what Carlscum has done

Yeah. And it’s no secret - because the club itself has mentioned it a few times now - that as one part of our overall differences, we’ve had numerous discussions with the AFL about how we get umpired.

I can tell you now, the club seeths about it.

No wonder the club is seething about it. We're not being reamed once or twice per season, it's absolutely & patently systemic.

Honestly it's one of the main reasons I no longer go to games on them on TV.

TBR says we're not being objective, which to a certain extent is true. We are just like any other clubs supporters in that regard. No different at all. I've spoken to many other clubs supporters who all inevitably say they get reamed by the Umpires, even many doggies supporters believe it not.
But the figures don't lie, we consistently get many many less free kicks than any of our opposition.

The problem is there is no logical explanation for it.

Some have said that it's because we wear a mainly black jumper, so does Essingdum, they don't get the same treatment as us.

I'm perplexed, disappointed, annoyed, angry, basically pi55ed of the be frank.

How could he determine it wasn't dissent without knowing what was said when the player faced the umpire?

How many of the 28 were incorrect?

Were you happy with the umpiring over the weekend? How do you think the umpiring was in our game?

The first step to any sort of rationale analysis of umpiring is knowing the free kick differential is a completely meaningless stat.

If any evidence of that was required, look at the outcry from Saturday vs the fact it was our closest negative differential of the season thus far.

Were you happy with the umpiring over the weekend? How do you think the umpiring was in our game?

I didn't really watch any game fully apart from ours. As for ours, like I have always said the only way to judge umpiring is to review every single decision and I haven't done that.

My instinct from watching the game is about on par with most weeks, correct and incorrect decisions both ways and nowhere near as bad as most punters live reaction.

consistent data TBR. How many years in a row now when Richmond have been clear last in league FKD? Its not a meaningless stat, it provides objective data on number of frees for and against for each team. On what basis is that meaningless? I don't buy the way we play theory for reasons I've already posted. It doesn't stand up to scrutiny.

I heard that on radio and the commentary team - all of them - said it was embarrassing for the game. There was one umpire (not sure who), who Richo said was just purposely interfering. Hah hah hah...Richo was losing it all game long.
Richo has been very vocal on the state of the umpiring on the socials. He might want to be careful as the head honchos at AFL house wont be happy.

Yep, GoDees supporters don't care that their club has been underwritten by the AFL, had a CEO and coach installed and paid by the AFL, gifted draft picks for a decade, etc. Their club wouldn't exist without corporate welfare yet they strut around "aren't we great".

I'm so proud our club did it all alone.

Other sides can move on the mark a bit too, not always but sometimes, we never can.

Also, there’s that split second longer to call “play on” when we’re standing the mark too.

You see our guys looking at the ump all the time after an opponent moves off the line.

Richo can't comment on the umpiring in Richmond games because he is accused of bias so has to save his real feelings when commenting other games. He is rightly as frustrated as all of us.

We need to organize a protest of 10k Richmond supporters to stand out the front of AFL house demanding they change the rules and give us a fair go.
