His importance cannot be over estimated now.
When he plays like that you are reminded why he is so effective, and so important.

He has that special ability to break-open games from the contest. Whether it be feeding out to a runner or slicing through a pack. His kicking inside 50 is a joy to watch.

It was a good contrast to Parish and a player say like Mitchell. Both accumulate but don't hurt.

We are a completely different team with meatball playing so well.

Important to remember against Carlton that Prestia went down halfway through the second. We just need him out there.

Wang
Said it before and I’ll type it again , he’s the clear best midfielder of the expansion teams picks that went home , though football media still probably rate Shiel higher :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:….. good one Mr B , Shiel :rotfl1

Truth.

If he stays on the park for most of the remaining season, we are a big chance to go deep

Watched the game again, I don’t think Prestia double grabbed anything. Incredibly clean.

I‘ve underrated how good this guy is. His 2022 form is elite when he finishes entire games. Not just club elite, AFL elite. If and its a HUGGGGEEEEEEE if his body holds up he should begin to get the credit he deserves.

Doesn't look 100% to me. Definitely half a yard down. And low on stamina.

Ageing, burly and a bit tentative.

At R12 that's not a problem because Dion plays and is working into form. And fresh off a bye.

Watch Dion Thusday night then @Dyer'ere, he was burning on Sat morning at training, he gut ran from the back pocket sprinting at full pace giving off and receiving all the way into half forward, the players quickly caught on that Dion was on a solo effort and those not involved were egging him on, after missing the goal Dion kept running out the gate and pointed to Punt Road as if he wanted to keep running
It was hilarious and had the players in stitches, me I were worried about him doing a hammy;)

*smile* he's a great player.

He does stuff just as impossibly as Dusty at his best. But the impossible stuff he does is less flashy.

It’s like magic, the way he receives a handball in traffic, with two blokes about to run him down, and he pivots, and finds a player in space. Or the way he intercepts opposition handballs with a paddle to advantage.

He barely ever goes to his knees. And he consistently turns 50/50 opportunities into clean passages of play.

Insanely good footballer.

Played damn well did Prestia. You just don't see half the inside work he does and his gut running. Someone mentioned he was poor defensively. I disagree, he was in top 5 for pressure act. And yes sometimes he's knackered and can't push back into a space in defence. That happens to all midfielders. He's a pleasure to watch, nothing fancy, just hard at it.

He had 10 touches in the first quarter. Dominant and we looked good.

Burge is up to something with Prestia. And Burge is good at that.
