Barrass gave our man a slap this week. Our I50 ball was pretty mediocre when Lynch was the right target.

Sometimes ya get beat. And Barrass is very good if he can get a run. Very good.

Jack got the VFA>matchup.

I mentioned Lynch did very little at main training on Thursday I wonder if there was some slight issue they were managing but didn't think it would be a problem come game day

How weird was it that Ross injured himself at training on Thursday, yet they name him and fly him up to Brisbane only to pull him out an hour before the game?
Mind games? Pathetic effort if that’s what they were trying to achieve

Doubt we're into mind games and even if we were I don't think Ross would throw a spanner into anyone's planning.
Ps. After seeing the incident at training and then him punching the ground in frustration I always thought he was long odds to get up though.

That’s what I’m actually asking.
Why name him and fly him up? Looks like he was always injured as confirmed by your observations.
Doesn’t make any sense

He trained fully in the captains run. I watched him closely. He did everything and I was impressed with his touch. He picked up low balls no problem and he kicked no problem.

Can only assume he pulled up sore and that was enough for them to take a conservative view

It dosent help when Short kicks a ball that should hit him in the guts, he has to slide into it.
I knew the minute he was getting up he done something.

The sum of all parts add up to a narrow loss.

Despite the substantial lead we built, the Lynch injury early was massive no doubt. Our structure up forward severely diminished.

Tom & Dion are our most important players these days & if he's missing for weeks due to yet another hamstring, then the season just got a hell of a lot tougher from here.

And further to that we have NO developing key forwards waiting in the wings.

respectfully disagree on Samson, I think he's a KPF who can ruck.

JR8 is also 3rd tall size & has made a decent career out of playing as the #1 :)
We have no key forwards and no rucks but the MC choose Samson to play ruck. That’s where they see him long term.

JR is once is a legend of the game. Freak footballer.

We're thinking he misses three? And Nank out for at least that long. No Martin until R19? R20?

The Lynch injury is a bitter blow.
