Richmond v Williamstown - Round 18 Punt Road Oval (23 July 2022)

It's like a contagion. Since I switched on around mid-Q, we've scored 4/5 points. Why didn't Aarts handball to the player 5m in front of him to run in for a closer shot. Instead played greedy and missed from too far out for his little legs.
Not the Richmond way.

Ha ha....Mozza kicks a sitter. 3 Willy players all slipped over and left the ball on the goal line.

Commentator knows Castagna well;)
"Showing all his skill all his composure"
After kicking a goal.

Willamstown weak as p!ss but we're not much better. Too much sloppiness. Stacky gave RCD a spray for not passing and kicking on the full but then just later he snapped a pass to the oppo.

HT 4.8.32 to 0.3.3 we should be 10 goals up.

It’s been raining all day so conditions contributing to the poor skills.

mansell bog for first half.

That Pommy bloke again.
I don't mind him - in the interests of diversity in the media. He actually calls the game quite well even if the accent grates a little. But annoying that he just doesn't know our players.

True. Pommies are great commentators. Just makes me feel like I'm watching soccer or rugby.

Our bright future on display. Samson and Biggie could be our senior ruck combo in a couple of years, I reckon. Biggie has a leap almost as big as Gibbo's. He's clocked intercept marking at the level, so it's good for his game to get involved at the coalface and he's doing well. Both viable, mobile forward targets too.

Mansell and Young dominating in defence. MoJu terrorising the Willy defence. Stack busy but not quite clicking. Dow, RCD, Martyn getting plenty of it. Gibbo growing in confidence with a couple of nice intercepts and a huge launch for almost-mark of the year. Some good moments from all of Bauer, Brown, Clarke and Banks.

I'd like to see some testing on Fraser Elliott. Suspect these are his ideal conditions - is a truck and a ball magnet in the wet, 17 disposals and 5 clearances in a half. Could be worth a rookie spot if he tests okay. Tylar Young definitely is.
