David Teague

Teague the least of our issues - picking the wrong forward line last week not withstanding.

Ball movement and scoring has been excellent all year which is Teague's area? If so he's the one coach doing extremely well.

Whoever is looking after stoppages (McQualter?) is the one the acid should be on. How many goals do we give away especially defensively.

Keep Teague, Kingsley back to the midfield, new backline coach, McQualter to Centrelink.

Teague doing an excellent job.

If anything he has too much sway in the box when we are up there with the best for points scored and so leaky down back.

In a Hardwick-coached team.

This puts to bed that Teague doesn't know *smile* from clay and also that Dimma cannot listen to his assistants.

Nothing at all to see here, can coach.

So we finished the season as the highest scoring team.

Well done Teague.

I remember earlier in the year defending him. Going very well is Teaguey.

Our club has a habit of rotating our assistant roles every year. I hope this isn't the case with Teague. Attack is clearly his purview.

Enormous improvement in fwd line function. Yeah Lynch returning to super form helps but our improvement from last year is considerable. Well done Teaguey.

Tonight, we got a bit bomby at times in the first quarter but after that the spread, the shorter options especially back into the corridor, lower kicks, patience etc was great. Good spread of goal kickers testimony to the fact.

Carlton had to pay the balance of what Teague would have earned if he had not been sacked. Looks like such a financial arrangement might be turned to our favour pretty easily.

Expect Essendon will drop Ben Rutten today. They are too proud to keep him now.

When the dust settles our coaching next year might see him re- installed as our defensive coach, and as others have said, with Kingsley midfield, Teague forward, and with X, Morris, Lonergan, Lambo development,- Lambo to make the transition with primary responsibility for the VFL side.

Agree - Teague was recruited for transforming our offence - he has done that whilst somehow retaining our surge DNA. Impressive and deserves recognition.

Teague can coach.

So much distortion in how we view people sometimes. Got sacked, therefore can’t coach. Damaged goods.

Nah. Not only can Teague coach, he has seriously influenced our tactics in 2022. If you can convince Dimma to go more offensive at the expense of defensive integrity, you have serious credibility.

Kingsley is making a late charge for the GWS job

You forget Sam Lonergan in that mix who has a lot to do with player development

Lonergan may be in line for a promotion soon. Everyone raves about him.
