Welcome to the Tigers Jacob Hopper

I like the "Let's Go" bit................bring that attitude to the boys Hops and we're away!!!!

Had to listen to that twice to work out he was saying (whispering) ... 'Lets Go'. Hopeless. Should have been 'Carn the Tiges' or 'Yellow and Black' shouted very loudly! Needs to lift his effort!

Well Posh, Tortured and crew you have got it right.

Clearly the gathering of 1st rounders and the trade up for pick 1 by GWS is going to bring about a serious adjustment of their list.
I maintain that such a re-adjustment, with funds and picks coming in for top ranked players is one aspect of a salary dumping exercise, as I explained in my post at part c) above, but that doesn’t matter now.

Although not too happy with giving up our F1, like you, very happy to welcome these 2.
A gracious concession.
……. Oh wait a minute

So now we have picks 53 and 63 in the draft.
Would not expect any great results from those picks but who knows who may pop up?
Hoping Hopper is worth it.

Can't wait when you officially debut in Richmond colours! May your journey be filled with great memories, moments, career and lasting friendship with the rest of the boys. You now become a Richmond Man. wear the colours with pride, dignity and honour.

I wonder what the hold up was?
After getting Toby Bedford and it looking likely that they'll get O'Meara too, it probably dawned on them that if that got Soldo as well, there salary cap will be worse than it was with Taranto and Hopper.

5 on the bench - l’il Ivy as second ruck. Just how many different combos can we throw at ball ups and throw ins will be insane. L’il Ivy was always going to improve next year - now with T+H at his feet he’ll absolutely kill it. We didn’t just get a whole lot better with the addition of T+H at the grunt stuff but turned our second ruck into a first rate beast in the process.

Sound theory, tipping they'll want the Hawks to pay some of JOM salary.....not sure why the Hawks would

67 - Broad
53 – Graham
63 – Miller
43 – Ross
43 – Cumberland
46 – Ralphsmith
51 – Rioli Jnr

Some good value out there if you have a good culture to develop and get the best out of them. Think I'd be confident in seeing what becomes off picks 53 & 63, likely to be around 43-45 & 53-55 after the father/son picks are all used up before our picks.

Yeah Yeah.

Keeping Soldo was massive.

Now let's find some gems with late picks / rookie picks.

Bring on 2023
Zippy has been calling it for years
We are better at picking the above 45 picks than the first 20

We we go zip

The last Jacob we got from GWS came from Leeton and won a Premiership. Wonder if this one will do the same?

This is the way we roll as a club now. No outlandish statements, just get on with the business. Some supporters don’t like the lack of information but I think it is a great way to go about it.
To get 2 high quality midfielders in their prime with no picks under 12 including a couple of 2nd rounders and getting some late picks back is simply outstanding work.
Whether we should have done the deal or not is an individual opinion of course.
It seems to me that we are helping the giants out in some way with a bit of salary cap relief in 2023 reading between the lines .
