Welcome to the Tigers Jacob Hopper

Was Carlton’s midfield that ran over us in round 1. We got run over in many games. Not next year
Yep, sure did, Cripps and co. were on fire in Rd1 and Prestia had 10 touches in the first qtr then went off in the second qtr with another hammy. In fact it would be useful to see how many games we lost without Prestia or when he was injured during the game. We need these two recruits because we can't rely on Prestia to stay healthy, Cotch is not the same as he was and of course we've lost Lambert and Edwards. Prestia now becomes a bonus, not an essential part of our mid rotations. Great recruiting.

The financial squeeze at GW$ must have played a part here.

Got similar just now from a reasonable source.

The Tigers and GWS knew they were going to make a deal. There were a number of options agreed to by both, but GWS wanted to see how a couple of other issues panned out.

This deal reflected what GWS wanted based on some other GWS trade. Possibly them getting JoM, possibly someone else.

My source reckons that the deal never included pick 31, future first and Soldo combined. It was any two of those with later make pick swaps and make weights in a combo that suited GWS.

Then there were the 8 in the back frees that Cerra conned the flogs into giving him. Our midfield is going to be hard to beat and we’ll bat deep.

Well that was a week and a half of anxiety for nothing wasn't it folks.

Gee whiz, lucky Blair was able to keep any of his ass, after the screwing he was taking from GWS.
We are so crap at trade week. We always overvalue others and undervalue our own.

Blah blah blah blah.

In Blair we trust,
So I can’t enjoy the melts about Blair and Matt anymore ? Ah geez. Bummer.

I’m starting a Ben King to tigers rumour in 2024 so it gets a good 2 year run.
Ben King out of contract end of 2024.

Some other talls to think about - Tom De Koning out of contract end of 2023, Harrison Jones 2023, Cox 2023, Hind 2023, Naughton 2024, Jamarra 2024, Fogarty 2023.

Just added easily another 10k to the membership numbers for next year
He has to be just behind Prestia and Brown as our best ever trades

That’s interesting because according to a quote from Jason McCartney on Friday, he confirmed that F1 and pick 31 wasn’t enough to get the deal done
