Round 5: the Today and Sunrise games.

Crows have improved but lets not get carried away.

They beat an iffy Carlton last night, at home, in front of a pumped up 48,000. Prior to that they beat a struggling Freo (in Adelaide) and Port (in Adelaide). Big deal. They've barely been on the road yet, playing 4 out of 5 games at Adelaide Oval.

Lets see how they go on the road, and especially with a whole bunch of tougher games in Melbourne still to come.

Our form line looks a lot better all of a sudden in terms of beating Adelaide, but a lot worse in drawing with Carlton.
They drew with an always slow starting Richmond, beat a Cats out of form team coming off a flag and like 20 seasons of finals and they snuck in an 8 point win there too man. Beat the Giants with the help of a stupid free kick against Coniglio, and beat a bottom four team in Nawf :eyes

I don't know why people get seduced by the Bloos man, I told my mate below last night they'll get spanked and they did.

They have two really good forwards, three good mids, one defender and the rest are try hards, good on them they play AFL, I don't!! :))

Expecting Damian Barrett's IF's this week to be -

Carltoon
If.........Stephen Silvagni is an AFL Hall of Famer
His son Jack Silvagni is an AFL Hall Of Shamer :poop:

Carlton had plenty go wrong.

Walsh was way too fresh. And neither Whatsispotato nor Kennedy looked right. That left too much to Cripps who was picked off.

TDK is a promising type who must play. Very good at times. And hopeless at others. When Pittonet went down that left him with too great a burden.

Docherty is the general of that backline. They will struggle without him. And McGovern is a very fast and strong half back. Wietering, the back pocket player who Carlton famously took at #1 in a National Draft, needs cover. He wilted again last night without it.

Add to these misfortunes that the Blues didn’t get off the plane and you can expect a closer match next time with better personnel availabilities.

I agree, long way for me to get on the Adelaide wagon, their oldie's don't seem to travel well. Home ground bullies.

Adelaide last won at the MCG.....Carltoon ;) Rd 15, 2017. Six years ago.

Equally, the Beyond Blues have NEVER won at the new Adelaide Oval.

6 games, 6 losses at Adelaide Oval.

Last Bloos win in Adelaide was in 2013 at Football Park Rd 23 v Port.
At Football Park they had won 5 of their ;ast 6 :ROFLMAO:

The last team to beat Adelaide was us.
And we did it comfortably.
What does Kano reckon of that form line???

But we didn't lose to the Blues who were without Sam Walsh so top 4 still on the cards, eh TBR?

Just on that if Carlton with Sam Walsh lose, where does that put Carlton in your estimations?

Has Kanye Cornes complained about how many games the Crows have played at Adelaide Oval yet? Hello, Kanye?

When I saw the second half of Us V Crows I was impressed with the Crows , they ran so hard to split us open they ran out of tickets

They learnt from that game , but last night was next level for the Crows , when it was on their terms they were so clean and very composed

I'm pretty sure the inform top sides will find ways to close them down or beat them at contested ball ... but in the meantime they will have periods they will score heavily in
and it will win them games

They are young , fast and excited to play, how much consistency they can maintain is the $64 question
I'd say take them on face value , they are no longer a bottom four side , respect them or else , they could be a bit like us in 2017

Blues , they weren't "on" , does smell like Cripps and Docherty are keys for them , they were big contributors in Rnd 1
McKay & C Curnow are dam dangerous players now and will turn plenty of games their way

Blues had 10 injured unavailable for last nights game Crows had 2

Looks like a pretty solid call to me at this point. Couldn't beat Carlton without Walsh and we aren't challenging for a flag.

I wouldn't call last night Carlton with Walsh, he might be out there but he is going to take a while to be up and going.

Well, we’re gonna get a good dose of Bogelaide this week starting tonight. Expecting Victorian bodyworks businesses to have a lot of trade from returning visitors to the City of Lurkers after this week’s round. Make sure your dash cams are working I reckon.

Think the Bogelaide Crows can bring the Beyond Blues down tonight. Big home town crowd, all frothy and worked up. Blues a bit iffy. $2 looks ok I reckon.

Walker’s big ears to get very red again.

You heard it here first.
ROTM ! Lol

According to the Hun, Walsh was pretty near their best player last night so that'd be Carlton with Walsh. Maybe he just needed a bit more help from some of their other players.
