So I'm not a fan of Balta up forward, but if we're going to do this, we do it for 6-7 weeks as a trial and look for small improvements each week.
Should benefit a lot from Lynch taking the best defender.

There is no reason why Balta can’t play the same role as Luke Jackson did when he was at Melbourne
Play forward and second ruck Balta shouldn’t be the main go to forward but 2nd or 3rd tall
When Lynch returns if Kosi hasn’t been firing in the forward line Kosi should be the first one called upon to play back

I reckon its a simple case of being the hunter is easier than being hunted.
In the backlline, you don't have guys climbing all over you whose sole purpose in life is to stop you from marking the ball. You don't kick a whole bunch of goals on guys like that just because you're a big athletic dude.
Good forwards beat good defenders by being better readers of the play, better judges of the ball in flight, and supreme exponents of instinctual body positioning and timing. A good forward in the modern game has to be a prodigy. A great forward has to be a savant.
Balta is a blunt instrument. If he could build a tank, he could win a Brownlow in the ruck.
A star. I think he tends to get underrated because he's unorthodox, but he is a star. Marking, running, kicking, got everything.
When it clicks in his head and comes together on a consistent basis, Balta will be an absolute gun.

And the key, I reckon, is not to harness him too much. He's still raw in some ways but it's his instinct that Yze hopefully will cultivate and it will reap rewards.

Just let him play both forward and on ball, back when we need him. He will make the odd mistake and stuff a few things up but it will be worth it.

What a gun. Geez I love this guy. Just an absolute beast and a game changer. True X factor.
Reminds me a lot of rance , obligatory brain fade every game but he has the same athletic traits and more versatility
