Here's the 2018 National Draft for your reappraisal. What order would you pick them in now?

Was Choyce Jones an historic bust or was it a successful selection? Would you draft Taryn Thomas at all now? How about Toby Bedford? How early would he go these days?

The Ross pick just about the best after pick 20.
I'll give a shout out to Bailey Williams, he's very unpopular around here but at least he's a solid ruck option, even if he doesn't cut it as a premier ruck like Gawm, Grundy & English.

I don't mind Toby Bedford, can see why Kingsley picked him up. I like our own Juddy Clarke better, not that he was in the same draft, 11 goals from 13 games this season, Toby, 12 from 17 games.
Juddy is going to be a gooden.

Hill, Hind, Briggs, Answerth, Rowbotham, Sparrow and possibly O’Halloran better than Ross but he’s not a bad pick up at 43
Briggs was an academy selection, not sure he was available to rival clubs.

Interesting that WC have delisted 2 of their 2018 haul in Xavier O’Neill and Luke Foley (as well as Jarrod Cameron 2 years ago). Bad draft for the Eagles.

That's a bit flattering for Ross, I'd also have Lukosius well ahead of both the King brothers, he is a genuine swingman, looked good up forward this year.

Bit of a trainwreck but things getting better, Hewett & Ginbey look like mainstays, add Curtin and another top end pick and one can see some light at the end of the tunnel.

Personally, other than the occasional nice kick, I reckon Lukosius has been a massive disappointment.

I reckon everything after 15 is a bit of personal choice, not a lot seperates around 15-20 of the boys drafted, very vanilla group

Firstly he's a tall, these guys take longer, but 39 goals in his first season as a key forward is pretty good, plenty to look forward to and I reckon you could pencil in 200 games (95 not out). As you have already mentioned, his kicking is A class for a bloke who stands at 195cm. Both the Kings look like giraffes when they line up for goal, they are also made of paper mache so expect chunks of missed football over the next few years. If they were all free agents it would be Lukosius all the way.

We should have taken Hill over Dawkins.

Also Lukosious is definitely top 5.

Turner and English ........Neither of em got any where near playing a game.

Funnily enough they were both at East Fremantle this year from memory as well.

Turner was a Tassie Lad IIRC. Must be good mates the 2 of em.

I’d have Rozee at 2 over Walsh and Rankin.
Rowbotham too high at 10.
Think you’ve got the wrong McInerney?
Hind and Answerth far better than Ross.

McInerney is the one at Sydney, plays off half back.

Was considering Rozee to be higher too.

I think Rowbottom at 10 shows how weak the draft was, though arguably Quaynor should be above him.
