2024 Draft Thread

Yeah. Match sim or not. Keeps racking em up at any level it seems. Consistent.

Be interesting to see where/how they deploy him. Straight into the midfield heat, or HBF or something to begin with a la Sheezel ?

Midfield-HFF mix maybe.
Reckon it’s MID-HFF, they have Saad and Newman as their release flankers.

Reckon the winners out of this are Walsh and Cerra, can get more outside.

You can never have too many mids.

That is if Walsh and/or Cerra can stay on the park

Jagga's the kind of player you draft to win Rising Stars, Brownlows, MVPs and collect AA blazers , our blokes are the kind you draft to win Premiership, Gary Ayers, Norm Smith medals & collect flags.

How anyone can think that is truly bizarre.

Bizarre take - You get players good enough for the first batch - The second takes care of itself.

Maybe, maybe not. I'm kinda guessing, but I think Danoz Direct might perceive Jagga as the type of player who puts a bit more emphasis on himself being the best individual player he can be. Rather than the best team player that he can be.
Slight difference but an important one, it's one of the things that to me made the Dusty one such a great player. Even for all his ability n match winning performances he was always dishing off and supplying to the lesser able'd team mates. One of the reasons we won 3 flags was that all our best players were constantly sharing into the team ethos. It was never about 3 or 4 elite superstars demanding the right to do it all.

My self-referential brother in Christ, no-one said individual awards are the exclusive domain of the selfish trinket collectors and they often do get the big prize even if it takes until the back end of a career after a history of last hurdle stumbles and finals fade outs but the Neale's of the world usually need the Ashcrofts of the world to get it done (having serial chokers the Swannywobbles as your opponent on the big day also helps). Whether the Scum can get it done by adding Sam Walsh 2.0 to Sam Walsh and *chortle* Adam Cerra , remains to be seen.

Yes and also quality over quantity and the ability to stand up and break the big games open when it really counts.

Truly bizarre takes based purely on what laundry they put on out of the draft washing machine.

Lot of duffle coats on too tight, beanies on too tight stopping blood flow.

Or just those of us who merely understand games are won on the field and not the stat sheet.
