Agree. VFL should've stayed VFL with the other 6 non Vic clubs covered by VFA clubs.

21 teams play 18 games in 22 rounds. So there's 4 byes but nobody plays all teams.

This just doesn't make sense to me, surely it could be that every team could be played over 20 rounds.

Or am I dumber than I think.

Why did they think up 18 games?? Just play another 2 which makes 20 and each team has met each other once. 10 games per week with 1 team on a bye. I suppose travelling and ground location issues come into it a bit, but for VFL??

It's impossible. They've done a fantastic job and should all get a six-figure raise and all-expenses paid for the old boys' Euro trip this July/August/maybe a little bit of September there's not much to do here anyway.

Another bye for our VFL team this weekend. So they’re going to have 4 byes (rounds 7,10,14,19) within 13 weeks. What a bloody joke.

The VFL is a shambles and heading for oblivion.

They should split the VFL into two divisions like the old VFA.
12 teams in Div 1 and 9 in Division 2.
Have Promotion and Relegation.

Nothing wrong with playing all other teams once. No need for 2 divisions, just play football
