Changes for Semi

or are the Saints too top heavy against a fleet footed running gun outfit like the Tigers? Dimma is rarely fussed about who is on the other team when picking our side.

Perhaps, but DTLD will still get a game.

It seems the footy gods are reaming the Saints for once. No Long, No Carlisle and no Ryder. Will make the Tigers selection slightly more challenging to get match ups

not liking this.could spur their players bigtime emotionally.really need to make sure that we start very well to stem the tide.

Add Gresham who is out for the remainder of the year and Battle looking unlikely to recover by Friday

We know games are often won or lost at the selection table and that is certainly the case this week. A fatal mistake is putting too much trust in reputation and not enough tough analysis of how these "stars" are performing right now.
Is Astbury fully fit to jump, run, dodge, chase or is his knee slowing him up?
Can Prestia get extra pace and acceleration this week?
Should we keep all of Pickett, Lambert, Aarts, Edwards, Rioli, Castagna in the team?
How much will Caddy, Broad and Markov improve our performance this week?
It's too easy to be smart after the game and realise that some players were picked more on their previous finals performances than how fit they are now.

I think it’ll just be Chol for Lynch, unless there’s an injury. Historically we haven’t made unforced changes during finals campaigns.

Historically, we haven't lost finals during a finals campaign.

Don't change a winning formula makes sense.

But maybe do mix up a losing one.

Saints have some quick players in their front half. Markov to come in perhaps to mind butler?

Yep Butler and Hill. Markov needed. Horses for courses.
Their skill and pace killed us in Rd 4. Have to do something different bc if we bring Broad and Caddy back in it will start to look too much like that side. We are relying on Tigga, Short, Baker and Broad to manage Butler if Markov goes to Hill. Can McIntosh hold Hill? Not likely. Two big headaches.
