Don't remember what the score was I lost interest in what the score was after the first 10mins of the last quarter. Nearly every geelong player was there. I wanted to smack ben graham in the head. But there was a fair few geelong supporters there and I can't run that fast lol. Biddiscombe hang round with the geelong players for the first half then Cogs turned up. Pettifer was there watching too. It's scarey to think who we can bring up not many stand outs today.

Steinfort also hurt his arm/shoulder and didnt play after half time.
Our better players we're probably dragga hyde schulz and mcgrath. Hilton and King both did a few good things and a few of the usual *smile* things.

Just shifting this to make it a single thread...

Coburg: 2-2, 5-4, 9-6, 14-11-95
Geelong: 5-1, 7-2, 12-7, 21-12-138

Goals: Hilton 3, Vardy 2, McGrath, Nicholls, Pagan, Draga,
King, Taylor, Steinfort, Schulz, Hart 1.

Species: Hilton, McGrath

They were possibly still in it at the end of the third
quarter, but the dreaded "blow out" happened yet
again. Spargo asked that the Richmond dudes stand
up ... didn't quite work out that way.

Spud was present at the game (as he should have been!)

Out of a bad lot, probably Hilton and Dragga to come
back in, King at a pinch, but given the season is stuffed,
might as well give Hyde a bit of game time. They
might even look at Nicholls again. Poor Vardy can't
replace our injured people. I've left out Schulz and
McGrath as we know that the coaching staff wont
give them a game :-[

Is it just me or is Spargo pretty pathetic in his rev up. No passion what so ever. He just sorta spoke to the players then had a bit of voice just before the players walked off for the start of the fourth about how we didn't want to lose on our home ground. Wasn't very inspiring if you ask me.

I suppose some coaches are just like that. The most
fired up I've ever seen him was at the Williamstown
game where he gave them a rocket up the proverbial.
Generally speaks fairly quietly.

Maybe he does all the 'rev' work in private before the
match (and at half time) and keeps things subdued
otherwise.

I know that the previous Coburg coach was - well - very
outspoken - he'd tell them in no uncertain terms and
loudly what needed to be done. So much so, they on
one TV broadcast they had to ask him to tone it down ;)
So, the players probably aren't used to the quiet
approach.
