Thats all Dusty needs against these plastic midfielders at Melbourne.Yeah and then he won't be able to run out 1 quarter zips!!
I reckon we should just trade the early picks for ready made mids.Agree. We should be looking to trade 7 and 15 for 8 x 5th round picks and 10 x 8 rookie draft picks. Pick our next premiership team in one year!
This, I cant understand why we cant buy the player we need... surely there is a way salary cap can be layered..... look at Carlton ffs how are they doing it, dont say brown paper bags because it is aint soI reckon we should just trade the early picks for ready made mids.
Tarranto or Green otherwise we will end up with another Higgins and Ellis
Especially after Astbury Houli and Rance are all gone. This, I cant understand why we cant buy the player we need... surely there is a way salary cap can be layered..... look at Carlton ffs how are they doing it, dont say brown paper bags because it is aint so
I'm not doubting he lost significant weight....just query on the amount
I spent two weeks in a coma two years ago, immobilised, no food and pretty much no organ worked. I didn't lose 15.
What is Dusty? 90 or 95kg?...I dont reckon he has dropped to 75 or 80kg.
Not sure what my point is really only a query on the figures....
Wasn't the original plan to be back in training in November??jeez not good, if not running by november... doubt we can expect a massive year, but i am a half glass empty dude
People forget how instrumental Lynch was in the 2019 flag. That list would just about have it covered. We always knew we would pay a price down the track for Dusty and Tommy but oh it was so worth it!
Very naive post. And by the way, we pay our elite players across the AFL way too much. It's not as if Franklin, Martin, Petracca etc would earn anything like half their current pay doing anything else. The AFL holds all the aces but has allowed payments that are way out of scale with the rest of Australian society. Team salay caps don't work. Individual salary caps just might solve many problems.
Is it naive to believe 500,000 would be enough to attract players to the AFL?Very naive post.
Why on earth would you hold professional sports people up against the rest of society?
Do people pay to watch you work?
And as for AFL players getting payed too much? We’re losing half our kids to soccer and basketball because we can’t pay them enough. Would you like to see our great game disappear because we can’t attract athletes?
A mate of mine saw Dusty the other day & was pretty shocked at how much weight he'd dropped.Unfortunately my source tells me Dusty is struggling a little.
Ended up losing 15kg and is slow in his recovery.
Think the severity of the injury has been downplayed a little.
The game generates a lot of money because people freely choose to pay to watch it. The players are a major part of that, so they are entitled to a fair chunk of the profits generated. Sure they earn way more than the rest of society, but that is because the rest of society value them that highly. You personally might not value them that highly, but it is not for you or anyone else to tell others what to value. The simple reason I hold players up to the rest of society is because people on low wages are supporting clubs who spend too much money.
Mitch Robinson always wanted to be famous for something. .... hope it's not for ruining a great career.A mate of mine saw Dusty the other day & was pretty shocked at how much weight he'd dropped.
I've argued this before but it is the AFL executives that get paid too much, not the players. Is it naive to believe 500,000 would be enough to attract players to the AFL?
