Internet filtering software

I want to install some (pornography) filtering software on my home PC.
Has any out there done this and can you recommend anything (inexpensive or free???)

I noticed no one replied - a good place to start is www.cnet.com . This will have some reviews etc Some of the program are free as well. There was a program called net nanny as well...

Last week the mother of one of my 8-year-old son's friends rang us to say her son had just got home from our place and promptly started surfing the web for all sorts of porn. I checked the history on our PC and sure enough it's been going on for a few weeks !!! I, and definitely my wife, were both mortified.

Our kids are only 11 and 8, and I know that for the first time it was just a childish curiosity but we've made it clear to them that if they do it again they will lose the access to the computers - and believe me the threat of that has made them stop.

But I do want to install something to stop it anyway. I tried one product and it just stopped everything (something to do with my having a local webserver on my PC but I didn't have the time to look into it).

What we couldn't get out of our kids is where they first found the site URLs (i.e. another kid, school, whatever).

Im sure that the federal Government announced some 100Mill  scheme earlier in the year whereby they would offer free software,advice,etc to families such as yourself  with these problems.

Check the AFG site and hope that it's not one of those Core/Non core promises. :
