Absolutely, arguably the best ever jbTo be fair every club would have given their eye teeth for Cox when he established himself and plenty would have been kicking themselves by overlooking him. Would have gone alright in a yellow and black jumper.

Is Orren Stephenson still playing ?We basically need a ruckman with a mature body and a bit of size about him who may be called upon to ruck in a few senior games in the event that Ryan is not quite ready. In all likelihood, Ryan will get first dibs when Nank is injured. If he doesn’t cope, the we need a plan B. If he gets tired, then it’s plan B again.
I have no doubt that they will find such a doofus and place him on the rookie list.

What’s that in the bottom right?
Cats won a flag with a sub standard ruck.Sorry if I’m on the wrong thread , however with all this analysis of the big doofus rucks , I see the game evolving where the “2nd” ruck types will become more the norm , imho Rucks are something you must have , however you don’t necessarily need to have a superstar one, obviously its great to have a top line Ruck .
Its a bit contradicting but I think Natanui is the perfect example , rated as the best ruck by many over the last decade ( imho very overrated) however he has been part of a team with plenty of AAs in every part of the field , however when they win a flag , he has no part in it .
Again I think ruck craft is great , however the amount of times a perfect tap to a moving player is achieved is minimal, proven for years and years great clearance players ( rovers, ruck rovers, midfields , stoppage stars ) win the ball of either ruck and hit, I’d imagine a great amount of times in a ruck contest neither ruckman actually wins the hitout , in fact I think there was a time we set up to lose ruck hit outs and did it extremely well.
Obviuosly Nank will be our starting ruck, but it’s not because he’s a great tap ruckman , it’s because he’s a competing beast that is good around the ground , he’s good enough at what he does to be a triple premiership player. Anyway imho , we always start with Nank , however I have no issue having Miller, Balta and Biggy types been our “ second” rucks and in time , I can see us and other teams going with 2 2’s , basically if you can’t play around the ground you become a liability, I’ve been a fan of Soldo , however he’s winning taps so often go straight to the opposition, is our mids ? Or is it poor execution from Soldo ?
Recent great Rucks are considered great because of them basically been a 4th midfielder, not just because they are tall.
I remember . One draft. 2 have debuted. The other three hopefully next year.Remember last years draft?
5 picks in the top 30.
3 have debuted, Gibcus, Clark & Sonsie, the other two look like they are the goods as well.I remember . One draft. 2 have debuted. The other three hopefully next year.
Need to draft another tall forward & Defender for the years post JR, Grimes, Ruckman.
Just an opinion post. I’m happy with the clubs thinking of drafting Taranto & Hopper. But 4 picks gone for the next two it appears.
I will be the first to acknowledge and double down on long term doubts.
I also know the club ( it’s like they feel obligated) to give the players in the final year(s) of their careers another chance of a premiership.
Can’t wait for 23.
Can’t wait to see how these two play under ‘our system’.
Can't wait for 23 either.I remember . One draft. 2 have debuted. The other three hopefully next year.

Definitely a missed opportunity for top 4 and then who knows… but we stuffed up and we all hope that’s the driving force for season 23.Can't wait for 23 either.
