At the moment one of the major topics being talked about is losing sponsorship if we don't have a stable administration. Isn't the idea of sponsorship to get as much publicity for the product? This is the time that we should really be pushing for the sponsorship dollar as we are in the news every night. We should also be asking for more money from Motorola as they have had enough publicity in the last fortnight to make their investment worthwhile.

Agree pomsta. I doubt happenings at Richmond would reflect in a negative way against the sponsors it just gives them more coverage. As they say in the classics any publicity is good publicity.

Time to make the most of it and sign on some new sponsors while the going's hot.

We never seem to be Cherry Ripe anymore so may have missed the bus there.

Jenny Craig could sponsor us. The new "Eat Our Own" diet.

Any others?

How about Minties?

The commercial could feature a Richmond supporter giving it to the opposition supporters until half-time and then losing the game by a heap..

Thats an awesome idea!! You should submit it into the minties create your own minties moment promotion- I think its still going.

Agree Pomsta, and Motorola are an Italian company so they know all about passion.

Perhaps we could be sponsored by Viagra or the men's sexual health clinic. They could promote the slogan - "go in harder" or "go the distance" ;D ;D

We all fail to remember that one of the current board members is also in charge of Motorola in Australia.

Should his board member get thrown out by this petition, I'd say so could our sponsorship with Motorola.

This is the point that Casey was trying to get across to Phantom last night. This petition may well cost the RFC some $50,000 + the motorola sponsorship deal.

We should never be in a position where sponsorship is tied to having a position on the board.
It could be a school yard bully situation demanding everything goes his was or he'll take his ball sponsorship and go home.

While I agree with you Rosy, its fact. If this dude was to leave his position on the board, he may also take our biggest sponsorship dollars with him.

The fact that Casey would even mention the possibility that Motorola could walk smacks of desperation to me!

Even if Motorola did walk, there are other sponsorship opportunities out there. They are not the only company in Australia. You can't let this threat sway your decision.

If the MD of Motorola is going to pull his sponsorship because Phanto is trying to organise an EGM, you have to question if we really want him there on the current Board supposedly acting in the interests of the RFC?

I questioned the appointment of a sponsor to the board when it happened..for this very reason. Proper corporate governance is not Casey's long suit...in fact he's looking more and more like a corporate cowboy as time goes on.

If he brings a million dollars a year with him we want him on our board. For that kind of money he can join my family giving me a new sign on of Joshnbeknmotoroller's Dad ;D
