I understand why many on the Left are disappointed in the Albanese government; I know I am. But it is so, so, much better than the Morrison/Turnbull/Abbott governments it replaced, or the alternative Dutton disaster.
An economy going better than most, with wages rising faster than inflation (in the 'Goldilocks zone'), interest rates set to fall, unemployment almost at a 50-year low, and consecutive budget surpluses that also reduced government debt rung up under the Coalition. All this with little to nothing in the way of scandal, corruption, mass water theft, wanking on desks or covering up rape.
If the Coalition achieved this it'd be trumpeted on the front page of The Australian and every other major news service. But Australia's shiteating corporate media whores, including the Right-infiltrated ABC, paint it as a failure, a government under pressure. And the dimwitted, HUN-reading, Project-watching public lap it up.
Still plenty to do, but miles better than the alternative. I'm sure the usual suspects will disagree, without evidence. They'll just btch and moan and say 'woke'.
