Hey @Redford, did you go and see the church on Thursday night? I’m in town but only saw they were playing late that night. Good gig?
I didn't go Bulbs. Had surgery on both my feet 3 weeks ago and still in weirdo boots. Even if I was able, dunno if I'd have gone. I'm sure it would have been good, but they're just not the same without Marty and Peter. Ash Naylor and Ian Haugh are good guitarists but they're a bit sort of static. It's not natural to them. They always sort of look like they're thinking all the time whereas for Marty and Peter it's natural and like shelling peas. The sound isn't quite the same either. As well, Tim Powles couldn't play drums either. Broken arm or something. So that left the Killer Bee as the only original.

I watched some You Tube clips of the Enmore and Palais, and I've seen them play all those songs much better than that.

Having said that, all shows so far have been sell outs so what would I know.

Fair enough. I agree on pretty much all you said above. I would have jumped at the chance to see them anywhere anytime a while ago. Maybe I’m just A Different Man these days? I hope you recover well from your surgery red and are out of the weirdo boots soon. Steve Kilby signed my doctor Martin boot in 1990, maybe you could’ve gone in for a bit of that?
