He's going to get a very good run too solidify his spot. Let's hope he is the goods.

Its a very similar pathway as Grimes, who was picked up after training all preseason.

Sure its not years of struggle, but no doubt the kid had an emotional dumptruck of a time after missing out in the draft (plenty do).
He then kept his head and trained hard all summer.

Grimes in a podcast with hbf on post retirement talked how missing out gave him a career long chip on his shoulder. The draft was emotional weight and gave him imposter syndrome (am i good enough) until he met Emma Murray / matured as a person.

its not a movie epic hard road, but it may drive Burton to give it his all.

With Tom's work ethic and attitude, I reckon he could play the Kane Lambert role in a year or two.

I’m going to go out on a limb and say that barring injury, Burton will debut by round 5.

Honestly just play him R1, better than seeing some of our other battlers out there, good to see someone new

I never realised our new kids were "de-germ-ed"? Leftover practice from Covid days perhaps. :)
