I reckon they play them all and use the next two as match practice. We should win both comfortably and it is better for them to get up to speed than playing 2's

Looks like a welcome back for the old guard this week! Somehow though I still see Lambert missing another week for safety's sake. Surprised at Short being picked as Syd has taken his spot unless there is a positional change in sight we don't know about. Reckon Balta has been omitted due to tiredness more than anything else so that opens the possibility of Choi part timing in the ruck.

Wowsers. I was hoping those 7 would be added to the squad. Didn't see the Garthy and Balta omissions coming although both struggled a bit against Crows,

Cholly will play. We've got the VFL set up in the ruck now. Might actually work.

Good ins, but sometimes too many ins can mean the team is a bit off. Will be interesting to see how we go, must win and hopefully win well.

Positional change: Edwards out of the backline. Our forward efficiancy improves when he's near that end of the ground.

And yes, Chol will play. Balta to refresh and be schooled in the VFL in time for a finals tilt.

It's Thurs night before a Sunday game. Only three players listed as out while seven players have been listed as in. Cotch, Shedda, Lamblett, Ass berry would be likely inclusions if all are genuinely ready to go. Plus we need a ruck so Soldo will get a run. Reckon Shorty n Bolton will miss out from the squad plus another two would still need to be dropped . Pretty sure they won't let us play with 25 in the team.

Poor Sainters can't take a trick losing that Kent fella at training. Ripped a quad n season over.

Shorty is named in the starting 18 so he will play.

The outs will come from Houli, Graham, Chol, Naish, Butler, Menadue, Bolton, Baker

I'm guessing Graham, Naish, Butler and Menadue.

Too many underdone players , a real recipe for disaster..
Short coming straight back in is a joke , if Graham or Baker miss out for him an even bigger joke..

- Reckon Mabs will get another crack with Balta out.

- Shorty named on the ground a surprise. Thought he may see VFL time after such a long break.

- Ellis moved up to the wing. Much better.

- Bachar may be the one to get a rest.

- Bolton a cert to replace Butler.

- Higgins & Balta a bit of a reality check.

- Lots of changes. We'll be a bit rusty I reckon.

I reckon if Houli is named on the bench behind Short, we're either playing games or Houli is injured.
Menadue has another break. He was below his own benchmark against Adelaide.
Butler....did he really do enough when it mattered against Crows?
Graham had 23 and 11 tackles. No way he gets dropped.
Naish deservers to stay, but might make way for Bolton
Baker simply cannot be dropped.
Chol deserves another go, and Soldo can't ruck all game without relief.

Wow , I seriously wasnt expecting this amount of change which on face value looks a Hail Mary job.

Noah rested and due for one, same for Higgo, Garthwaite back to the VFL to recalibrate.

Bolton should come in but may not. Ellis has been fortunate.

Question mark on Bash maybe and Baker might be stiff and get dropped, Menadue will be omitted also as should Butler.

I cannot fathom how Short walks back into the side after no footy for nigh on 3 months, same goes for Lambert.

Will be very interesting to see the final side minus 4.

If they do play all the returning players it will be a bit of a risk but they may be rolling the dice to get the guys match fit against the saints and Suns. Hopefully it doesn't backfire on a fast hard track.

Setting up the finals tilt, no question.

Bold.

The thinking seems to be ‘well, if we get more injuries, we gave ourselves every chance’.

For the moment, no more gifts to the kids. The A team needs to start gelling together as soon as possible.

Damn!! Did not want the Dons to win last night. No matter what everyone on here thinks just to make the eight is going to be a bit of a task.

Sunday's game is a must win
