there’s a couple of guys unlucky to be missing out right now in Naish and Baker. It’s good we’re finally at a place where we’re not just scraping a team together.

Two metre Peter (203cm), Ben King (202cm), Sam Day (197cm), Josh Corbett (190cm) some serious height in the forward half...

That’s our Achilles Heal, our Kryptonite and *smile* list management.
Where’s one tall defender?
Every team will use it against us. Can’t get over we enquired about Roughead but we went after Weller.

Ellis played a good defensive shut down role and it was obvious he was playing to instructions not to go to contests, But pick up the overlap and shut down the dangerous space saints runners go to. His hard work and positioning freed dusty and prestia up as cotch was copping the hard tag and when ellis got forward he should have had 2 more well earnt goals to his name, Bolton ball hogged in the first and mucked up the ellis mark and then lambert gave battle a soft free, a gentle nudge and ellis split the middle but it came back. No way ellis get replaced, He can do so many team related unheralded tasks with his running power and all round skills.
Wow, I have Ellis in the bottom 6 of our best 22, if he is top 10 on our payroll and other clubs think he is worth it, that's a trade opportunity for mine. Same with young Shai, I reckon his trade value is more than his real value, if other clubs do to, then start talking.

If thats the case and its still raining on Saturday going in that tall might go against them.

I think It will be a very heavy track at Metricon on Saturday arvo.

I think the Suns will set a league record for 'falcons'

This is the stat that will ease the pain of this campaign if we don't make it.

2020 is off to a good start as of right now anyway.

Rozee, Butters, Duursma and Drew bumping the Powers numbers.

So we debut Dekka to get our numbers up also and keeping Shai in and Cholly helps too ;)

I am actually a bit surprised by this list. It's a positive sign overall but DAMN Geelong are there too!

Wow, Collingwood have only given 17 games to players under 21. Stephenson has played 14 of those. Bit of an aging list, I would think.

that goes into my PRE top 1000 worst suggestions hall of fame
Weller is close to being picked. His form at vfl level has been extremely good. Not just high possession count but lots of tackles as well.
Macca imo needs to do something this week imo. stop butchering the ball would be a good start

Yes agree Weller has been in great form. Very consistent too. Not sure he's a Macca replacement though.

Geelong have unearthed some real talent this year. They've always had this knack of doing so when needed. Even Geelong supporters I know thought they were gone this year before the season thinking it's rebuild time but here they are, 2 games and potentially after this round 3 games clear of the rest of the field.
