Training

Dave Astbury seen getting a coffee and walking over to lean on a stop sign to drink it outside my local cafe yesterday. Looked to be moving well.

You missed the biy when he smothered the choc chip cookie

When he crossed the street, was it in the middle of the crossing or did he walk down the line?

Did he disinfect the pole before leaning on it?

Mini , Kingsley, Fly, Leppa, Ivvy on the track

Looks like X, Lonergan & Ferg may have not made the cut.

Looks that way Taz.

Groups of 8 and staggered times make track watching hard but on such a beautiful day it was still great to spend plenty of time lurking around PRO.

Came back and listened to Dimm's presser where he said that they needed to get up and going as soon as possible and would train in lines and not protect them from bracketing them together.

To that end the 8 forwards today were:

JR8
Lynch
The lair with the Pink Hair
Rioli
Georgie
Shai
Higgo
Mabs

Didn't hang around to see all lines.

Dusty looked good all pre-season and round 1, looks even better now, (maybe it's only because absence makes the heart grow fonder ;) )

Interesting though when we were leaving Ferg , X and Sam L all drove in car park and were dressed for training

The Firefighters were brave Aussie heroes for a few months.

Then it was Doctors and Nurses.

When does the conversation begin about Caesars heroics?

It has to be now, surely?

There was a story on afl.com about Ferguson working in a blood and bone factory during stand down. He said 'Its hard work to be sure. Hard and smelly and dirty. But it could be worse, one of my mates kept his job at Geelong.'

This is true , i dropped by PRO after lunch as well and Ferg, X and Lonegran, (other coaches had departed), were out on PRO taking about 12 of what i would call our 2nd tier players through their paces so the coaching panel remains a bit of a mystery.

Garth was in this group which contained Eggs, Miller, Martyn, Biggie, Hugo, Cumberland and the like.

On the cusp players who trained earlier this morning in what i would call the main groups were Balta, (backs), RCD, Ross and Dow, (mids). Naish was also in one of the earlier groups.
