Welcome to the Tigers Nathan Broad

You need to improve your list every year, history shows that no Premiership 22, unchanged, goes back to back. Balta is an upgrade on Broad IMO.

Broady destroyed his opponents in both Premierships.
Hope Balta can do the same.

I rate Broady very highly and reckon he is so important to our game plan and structure. However Balta has that X factor that few players have at his age and have to accept my man is currently rightly being replaced by the young pretender. That said I reckon there is a place for both come finals footy
i rate Broad highly, and was surprised when he was dropped, but i reckon there is no chance he comes back in unless there are injuries to 1 of the back 7 picked today, and probably only if it is a tall who is injured.

Now that we've stocked the Fridge when need to get abreast of the situation and get the Cups signed! ASAP.

(see what I did there? :)) )

Ummm, not really

Would like a picture of the above to fully understand what you're trying to say

I reckon Broady is gone. I don’t base that on him not being in the side, I just believe a quality fringe player like him will opt for a pay day at a club where he will play every week. A Club like GC could comfortably offer a 3-4 year deal on good money and probably too good to knock back. Not sure we could offer that. I love him though. Type of bloke you take into battle as you know he will give you 100% every time he runs out. Bloody good player too.

Yeah, no begrudging Broad if he wants to find a regular gig. I'll miss him though, of all the current crop I find him the most titillating.

Balta deserves his chance to find out as he's been brilliant this year. He's a bigger, stronger, faster version of Broad and a kick that can break open the game. Broad has been a stalwart and made the most of his opportunities but it's also very exciting to see a youngster such as Balta break out to a new level.

The only thing still missing from Balta is a big tank. Broad will run all day and night for the cause. Noah is not yet able to do that yet although I love to see his short term explosive accel. I still see a place for both in finals footy

I don't see how Broad gets a game with the whole backline fully fit. Who does he replace?

Going to be interesting to see where he is in the B & F when he was dropped. Really hope we can hang onto him, his far from finished and think he could be used in more roles if needed I.e run with type

Can easily go back to defence whilst Noah chops out Nank in the ruck and provides the Tigers with a weapon as a point of difference through the middle in the finals.

It would have him out of his long term position but he'd still give us more than Chol and Broad can play anywhere to cover injury also.

Very unlikely to happen. Tigers don't like to throw players into a new position without retraining. I'm not convinced Broad can play anywhere. To me he's a backman. If he was a preferred option in the middle or wing, Kmac or Pickett would have been dropped earlier in the season instead of Broad. Certainly wouldnt have brought Caddy back to share the wing possie. There are already 7 defenders so if Balta gives a chop out there's no need for Broad to go back. Bolton and Prestia coming back into the middle, just can't see us bringing a third in Broad. I only see one way Broad comes back in, if he takes the place of another defender, them being Grimes, Balta, Short, Baker, Houli, Vlastuin, Astbury. Seems very unlikely unfortunately.

we’ve got a few very decent players at other clubs: Towner ellis butler and maybe Conca who just couldn’t be guaranteed a spot.
