Now the Bombers are trying to get him back to the club; at 32 years of age :rotfl2 :rotfl2 Reported on AFL website.

*smile* they are pathetic Essendon. They may as well just ask us if they can use our yellow sash as well :rotfl2

They have turned into a joke of a club.

I wonder kow Bachar feels about being used as a pawn by Essendon in an attempt to keep Saad

I don't know which club is the bigger joke now. EFC, MFC or NMFC

Gotta hand it to Benny, not only did help rebuild Richmond, but pushing Dan Richardson out the door might be one of his greatest masterstrokes ever!

We're startin to rack 'em up..... Adelaide, GWS, Essendon. ........ Next!

Is it too much of a stretch to add Hawthorn, their fall from grace started when we gave them Tyronne Vickery;)

Essendon must see themselves in the premiership window - just like Carlton did last year in picking up Betts again.

Tell the Bombers to get stuffed Bachar. We gave you the chance & you turned yourself into a 2 time premiership , 2 time Norm Smith runner up All Australian. They didn't even want to play you.

Nothing against Bach but why would you be after a 32 yr old? They've kept Saad so it's not like they want Bach to replace him. I just don't get the rationale.

I don't believe they've kept Saad as of yet? Some rationale I've read is that getting Houli would make Saad more likely to stay. But even then, dubious strategy.

Saad is staying at Essendon? Haven't seen it reported anywhere.

I could’ve sworn I read it yesterday. I’ll have a look.

This was from this morning:

Off-contract defender Adam Saad has “one foot out the door” at Essendon, according to Bombers great Tim Watson.

The Bombers have reportedly made Saad a four-year offer to stay at the club amid links to several Victorian rivals including Carlton, Melbourne, Richmond and North Melbourne.

But Watson is hearing that the 26-year-old could be on the way out of Essendon with the trade and free agency period on the horizon.

“I’m hearing that Adam Saad, who is probably close to my favourite Essendon player, has one foot out the door,” Watson told SEN Breakfast.

“I’m hearing he’s got one foot out the door.

“I hope I’m wrong because he is one of my favourite players.”

Saad finished third in Essendon’s best and fairest and has been weighing up his future since their 2020 campaign concluded.

The dashing defender averaged a career-high 18.9 disposals and 4.5 defensive rebounds in the shortened 17-game season.

The futures of Essendon pair Joe Daniher (restricted free agent) and Orazio Fantasia (contracted for 2021) are also up in the air.
